The next day we landed back on the planet. I did not sleep very well. I never knew Olimar snores like that..unless it was Louie. I was half asleep, Olimar and Louie gathered the pikmin. Of course Olimar noticed I was slacking in the process of helping start the day. "You got to help too, your a part of this..." Olimar told me. "Ok...fine..I'll help.." I said. "Ok..now that we have our pikmin set for the day, let's start exploring." Olimar said taking Louie's hand he used it to point in various areas we were going to visit, needless to say, just watching him is pretty funny, I laughed. Louie gave me a look and Olimar kept talking. "Ok, did you get all that? Good now lets go." Olimar finished talking and started walking in one of the directions he pointed in. We reached a cave, and just as if I was playing, the ship promptly interrupted Olimar. "Oh of course..." Olimar mumbled to himself. -Kzzrt! Warm air is coming out of this hole. The look on your face says you don't want to go in-but you must.- "The look on my face says I don't want to go in....I think you meant, the look on my face is very pissed at you stupid piece of space junk.." Olimar said. Gee I never knew how much Olimar hated his ship, or that he had some sense of humor. "Anyway, you heard the ship...we have to jump into the hole." Olimar said. "I figured that's what your ship wants." I said. Olimar gave me a look. "Of course that's what the ship wants." He said, going down into the hole, Louie and I followed. The ship followed, of course as if on que, it interrupted Olimar, the looks he gave the ship where priceless. -kzz rrrrt! You must be careful here, there are creatures down here you can't find above ground.- "I hate that stupid thing, anyhow...let's go look for stuff." Olimar leading the way. I was never good with following orders, and apparently neither was Louie, we both went astray from Olimar. I found something Laying on the ground. "Olimar!" I called. "Busy.." Olimar seemed to be fighting something. Rather than helping him, like an idiot both Louie and I waited until he was done. "Didn't care to help?" Olimar asked, who honestly looked ticked; he had a glare in his eye, and tripped on a rock walking as he glared at Louie. "You looked like you were handling it well." I said in almost a monotone voice. Louie nodded in agreement. "I guess I did..but I would have liked help, anyhow emile what did you call me for?" Olimar asked. "Oh right, I found this on the ground." I said picking up the thing, it was a soda cap. "You found treasure, good work." Olimar said with a half smile. "Oh, the ship only takes it when pikmin carry it." He added, as I put it down so the pikmin could carry it back to the ship. His smile confused me, but I didn't say anything about it instead I said, "I really capped that one." Olimar gave me a weird look, and laughed. "You didn't need to make a cap pun..but that really put the cap on this crappy situation." Olimar said. I laughed, not knowing Olimar would appreciate my pun. Louie looked at us as if we were insane. It went silent for a while, we were searching for treasure, and there being no enemies nearby, I decided to break the silence and get to know Olimar more. "Is Louie always this quiet?" I asked. "For the most part, it drives me nuts he's so quiet." Olimar said. "But I was kind of happy when I saw you...I knew how much you talked." He added with a smile. I had no idea Olimar knew that I lets played, I mean, how else would he know I talk so much. "This is kinda cool." I admitted. "Working for the president? No, it's not cool, he picked up on "presidential punch." God I want to punch him." Olimar said. I nearly burst out laughing when Olimar said that. "I guess that's not cool, but, being here in this game." I said. "I suppose it's cool..but you coming gave me the ability to speak my mind, finally." Olimar said. "I was going to ask how that worked like, you don't talk in the game, when I play it...but you do here, and I'm going to admit, your pretty funny." I said. "Oh." Olimar blushed slightly. "Uh thanks. You too." Olimar said. I almost felt like we had a moment there. It was really weird. We continued to explore the cave, we talked here and there..but focused on the task. Olimar then looked at his radar. "Looks like we collected all the treasure here." Olimar said. "Oh cool, now where do we go?" I asked. "We go back above ground and do more work getting pikmin, your memory must be as bad as Louie's." Olimar said. Louie spoke for like the first time. "My memory isn't bad..." Louie said. "Yes it is Louie, don't argue." Olimar said. "What did I say?" Louie asked. "I told you his memory sucked." Olimar said. "I see that." I said. Louie had a look on his face for the rest of the day. "We got more than I had intended on, we recovered 500 pokos today." Olimar said reviewing his day. "We have around 9,500 left to pay." I said doing the math. "You did that much faster than I do, it takes me forever to figure out the math." Olimar said, admittedly bad at math. "It's pretty easy when it's in 5's." I explained to Olimar. He had a dazed look on his face as if he didn't understand a word I said.
