Tragedy my dear, is finding comfort in the company of a drifter.
" 'let me love you,' She plea. Her voice quiver as she squeeze his hand."
Silence has never been so bitter, so loud.
There, mother earth stand still- expressing her solace for a love so hopeless- an unrequited love.
Except for the inconsiderate snow flakes dancing in the air, singing to her, her conflicting conscience. She stands there slouched and Frozen, facing her one weakness- a soul too cold to love she knew.
"Hey!"
He interrupted.Leading the awakening of all that's frozen outside the old highway tavern.
Shaking off the snow that had rested on his hand that held the Parapet, he frisk his side pocket and look up; presenting a half smile that appears so guilty.
"Ahh... My love." He said, looking at his cigarette case.
He slowly retrieve the hand she held firmly to fetch himself a lighter placed on the back of his black velvet trouser. She watch him in silence, unable to comprehend the situation. Her eyes glittered. Not of joy but of disappointment, of regrets and of self-hatred for having failed to tame her emotion; of everything responsible for the birth of her love for a soul so undeserving.
Taking a deep and satisfying puff he looks at her; his eyes so beautiful and deceiving.
Darling?he says. Picking the snow on her fringe and cheek. She can feel his fingers trembling as it comes in contact with her skin- She knows it isn't the cold, but of repeated abuse of alcohol.
Its too cold out here darling, he exclaim, and turn around to explain to her his statement.
'The weather is too unkind lately,' he added. Raising his eyebrows and fixing his eyes on hers."I do not wish to see you frozen here you know. Let us go in and sit by the Fireplace. shall we? Sugar?".
