While hunting with her men in the deepest part of the forest, she came across an old cave, hidden and forgotten by time . She made her way inside, but what she didn't know was that she would never come back out. Nobody really knows what actually happened in the cave that day, but the queen's men could all clearly hear her screams, her cries for help as she was dying somewhere inside that cave. Her body was never found, but a blond piece of hair, obviously belonging to her, was found hanging from the willow tree just outside the cave. The men ran back to the castle, making their way to the first person they could think of, Prince Julian, Valentina's younger brother.

The queen's men ran to the throne room where the prince was awaiting their return. However, when he saw them running in with such worry in their faces, he knew something wrong had happened.
Julian: Why do you all seem so worried? What is it? And where is my sister?
Knight: My prince, something terrible has happened. While hunting deep into the forest, the queen found a cave. She went in, but she never came out. We searched for her, but we couldn't find her. And then we heard her screaming and asking for help.
J: So she... she died? What about the body? Her body, did you find it?
K: I regret to tell you that we couldn't find her body, my prince. We only found this blond lock of hair tied on a willow tree outside the cave.
J: What? The willow tree is still there? But that can't be! That's impossible!
