I frowned, watching Niall get up and leave. I quickly followed him, but before I managed to say a word, he shook his head and stopped me. "I need some alone time, Lou. Thanks for understanding."

The way his voice cracked made me frown as I watched Niall walk away, going farther each step he took. Slowly, I made my way back to Harry's and my table. I was feeling guilty because I didn't do anything, but there was nothing I could do about it anyways.

Niall rarely ever had a crush on anybody. Heck, this was the second time. I didn't know what to do at times like these. The first time it happened, the guy decided to move to Paris the day after Niall told him that he liked him. How unfortunate, isn't it?

"What did I say?" Harry asked, thinking that he might have said something wrong. Yeah, he did, but he was not aware of it, it wasn't really his fault.

"Niall kinds of has a crush on Liam." I sighed. It was pretty obvious, but I knew that my Harry's brain kind of worked slowly. Yep, mine, he's mine.

Harry made an 'oh' face and nodded slowly. "I, uh, am sorry?" he said unsurely, more like questioning. I shrugged and we continued eating. Neither of us said a word.

"Louis, are you--" Harry started, but cut himself off. I wondered why. "He's coming over, isn't he?" He sighed. I looked behind him--I had to stand up a bit because Harry was still pretty tall even though he was sitting down--and there was Liam, in all his glory, walking over to our table.

How did Harry know he was coming here? Does he have super powers or something?

"Yep. He is."

Right after I said that, Liam finally arrived at our table and asked, "Can we talk?"

"That's rude. Say 'hello' first," I commented, eating my nugget as I eyed him. Liam faced me, as if he just noticed that I was there, then looked back at Harry.

Am I really that small that I'm unnoticeable?

"Yeah. Sorry. Hello, Harry. Can we talk?" Liam said, adding an extra puppy-face, but unfortunately, Harry didn't even take a glance at him. Poor Liam.

"Nope, goodbye." Harry continued eating.

"But, Harry--"

"Liam, no means no. Now, off you go." Harry finally turned to look over at Liam, but only to glare at him. Gods, he looks so hot right now. Oh, my sinful thoughts...

"Are you free this Wednesday?"

"Lou, are you free this Wednesday? I was thinking you could tutor me Maths because I'm having a little problem," Harry asked me, now turning to me.

At times like this, I thank all the Gods out there that I like Maths.

"I, uh, sure... Liam, do you want to join us?" I offered, smiling. I didn't mean to delve in their business, but I didn't want them to fight just because of Zayn or me. I wanted to help them both, which might not work, but it's worth try.

"Really, Lou? Of course, thank you so much! I owe you one!" Liam cheered and skipped away, looking like an overly excited ballerina.

"Well, thanks. You just made his day and ruined mine." Harry sighed, frowning.

I frowned, too. "C'mon, Haz, I'm sure he really wants to apologize and all those best friend shit--whoops, I just cursed. Sorry, mummy Jay."

"Hi, Ni, how are you feeling? Are you okay?" I asked through the phone call. Niall skipped through all his classes and I knew he must have went to Nando's, but I wanted to give him some space. Only now did I decide to call him, because I assumed that he had calmed down.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I should've known better. A guy as good-looking as him would've been taken." Niall let out a dry chuckle. It was clear as day that Niall was not fine. He was not okay. And that hurt me because I could do nothing about it.

Niall continued, "But he was so kind, Lou. He gave a smile to me the whole time and made me feel needed. But he was just leading me on..." he said desparately.

I'm so useless. Um, what do I do at times like this?

"I'm so sorry Niall, but there's nothing you could do about it, except moving on."

Okay, I admit that wasn't the best advice ever, but I was not a professional therapist. Now, I would tell Niall to show Liam what he was missing, but that would mean that Niall was still attached to Liam, and if Liam didn't give a reaction, Niall would be very heartbroken.

"Do you know anyone who lives close by, Louis?" Niall asked desparately, his voice cracking just like this morning.

"You and Harry are the only people I talk to other than my parents, Lou,"I reminded.

Niall sighed in response. "Please, Lou?"

I groaned. "Fine." I need to find someone soon.
