Chapter 1: The Intro: Get To Know Phoebe

Okay, is it just me or did I just here these words, "WAKE UP PHOEBE, YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LATE ON YOUR FIRST DAY OF 9th GRADE?!!"

It was at that moment that I, Phoebe Madison, had just realized that I was not in California anymore. My 10 year old sister, Piper, my mom, and I had moved from California to Indiana to get my sister the health care she needed. When Piper was 6 she got Leukemia, a type of cancer. Knowing that my sister was dying slowly, scared the hell out of me. I had never realized, even though I was only 14, how much I loved my sister. My mom, Piper, and I had left my 8 year old brother, Brent, my 16 year old twin sisters Katie and Emma, my 13 year old sister, Eva and my dad, back in California. Although I miss my school, friends, and family everything else about California, I know that being here in Indiana is the best choice for my mom, Piper and I. We had moved to Indiana during the summer, which I guess was a good idea because then I wouldn't have to start a school in the middle of the year.

I am starting ninth grade a a performing arts academy called Indianapolis Performing Arts High School, or for short IPAHS. My passion is dancing and gymnastics. I used to be home schooled and went to gymnastics and dance all day, but that all changed because I moved. My mom thought that it would be best for me to go to public school, for the first time in my life. I have no idea what its going to be like, because honestly, I have never been through all the drama, boyfriends, homework, and all that stuff. I am super nervous but excited to go to a school where I can study and dance at the dame time. After school, I will go to gymnastics, and violin, oh and that's another thing, I am going to play the violin. My mom encouraged me to play the violin because it will apparently sooth someone when they are stressed.

Chapter 2: The First Day of Ninth Grade

Anyway, lets get back to the first sentence of the story. My mom had told me the night before the first day of school, to set my alarm for the evil 5:30. She had told me that the bus came at 6:45 and school started at 7:05. So when i had forgot to set my alarm, my mom was yelling for my 10 minutes before the bus was supposed to come.

I told myself, 'Its okay, calm down...you'll be fine Phoebe!!!!' So when the bus came, I started to get butterflies in my stomachache.

As I walked onto the bus my mom yelled at me "I love you Phoebe, have a great first day of school!"

And I just kept walking.

When the bus arrived at school, I started to get really anxious. And then all of a sudden, when I walked through the door, the anxiety went away. The first person who came up to me was a girl, who looked really familiar, like my best friend Taylor.

When she came up to me the first thing she said was "Hello my name is Olivia Shapiro and you are?"

I just stud there in silence then said, with a stutter, "H-h-hi m-m-my name i-i-is P-h-h-Phoebe, and I-I a-a-am new here!"

"Well, hey there, I would be glad to help you around at this school," said Olivia very nicely.

It was then I realized I just made my first friend.

As Olivia started showing me to my first class, I said, "Thank you for showing me around, you know i used to live in California and I had been home schooled forever. I am super nervous."

"No need to be nervous, anyway whats your first class?", asked Olivia.

"Well, first period is Math in room 334.", I said.

Olivia told me that the only way to survive high school is to ignore the drama and bullies and stay close to your friends.
