Yordano Ventura, pitcher for the Royals, and Andy Marte, former infielder for the Diamondbacks.
Both were killed in separate car accidents last night/this morning in the Dominican Republic.
Prayers go out to their families at this time. ❤
Although I had no idea who Andy Marte was, I was aware of Yordano Ventura. He played in the spring training game that I went to last year vs. the Rangers, and I found his pitching skill stunning.
just know that we must unite as a baseball community as we go through these hard times (in the wake of Jose Fernandez's passing a mere 4 or so months ago.)
