... is for gentle,
An autumn breeze,
Strands of chestnut,
Glide at ease,
Three big steps,
I'm almost there,
Just two more,
She sees me stare,
Midnight hair hiding beautiful stars,
So smooth,
So dark,
She sweeps it back,
And there they are,
Eyes of dripping gold,
With flecks of sorrow,
A deep raging fire,
Burning till the edge of tomorrow,
A loss of life,
That's for sure,
A hollow soul,
Coldness with no cure,
Or so she thinks,
As I take a seat,
Without uttering a single breath,
Silence parted by wonder,
Why am I here,
Her mind racing,
But I gaze deep into those eyes,
She knows I've felt the aching,
We stay just like that,
A peaceful silence,
To mourn our loss,
And be grateful for each other
