The beginning they all say,
The beginning of what?
For that is the day,
Long ago,
Before the sky turned gray,
There he was,
In the grass he lay,
Watching,
Listening,
For the faint whistle of the leaves,
And the chatter of the trees,
A boy of many wonders,
I hoped I'd meet,
His name tickles my cheeks,
Petals swirl and sweep,
His eyes melt the sky,
And paints the colors,
of our new sunrise
