Credence just stood there, like a stone statue, staring at Newton. Newton, on the other hand, wore a large smile, and walked over to the young boy. Scared, Credence walked over to me.

"Why is there somebody else with you?" He whisper asked.

"Don't worry, he doesn't know anything about you. I'm helping him assimilate into New York society."

Credence scoffed, "You, helping someone socialize? How has that been going for you?

Lightly smacking his shoulder, I reply, "Not socialize! Only giving him a place to stay while he gets on his feet here in the big city."

"Fine, fine, but how do you know you can trust him?"

"I don't."

"Then how can you trust him in your apartment?" He says, apparently trying to knock some sense into me.

Giving him a look, I say, "Come one, he would never be able to double cross me in my apartment."

I whisper ever so softly in his ear, "My animals," because he'll understand the message.

Credence, as well as trusting me with his life story, was also the person I trusted with my own secrets. My 'family' history being like his gave us an even stronger bond. He knows my whole life, which includes the animal conversations.

Sighing in defeat, he say, "True, but if he does double cross you, your animals will be the least of his worries."

Both of us looking back at Newton, partly in fear that he heard our whisper conversation, we see a surprise. Newton was staring wide eyed at all the animals around him, turning in circles comically to see them all. He obviously was paying no mind to our little conversation.

I call out laughing to Newton, "Mr. Scamander, have you never seen an animal before?"

Surprised by my call, he flips around rapidly, reaching for something in his coat. Realizing it was only me, he called out, "Not these kinds before, there incredible!"

Confused, I ask, "Well then, Mr. Scamander, what kinds do you know if?"

Quick as lightning, Newton paled, "Uh, you can c-call me by my name since we'll be seeing a lot of each other from now on."

"Okay, Newton," I respond, questioning why he hadn't answered my question, He's hiding something.

Oh, do shut up.

Why? It's fun annoying you.

It was only when I realized that the initial voice wasn't my own, and that I hadn't said anything out loud, that I myself paled. Looking around, I looked for any new creatures, but none were new, only that same as yesterday's. Because I know all of my own animals voices, I knew that this one communicating with telepathy was not one of my own.

When I saw a green stick moving across Newton's coat waving at me I knew I found my culprit. Squinting, I saw it wasn't like any creatures I knew.

Staring, I asked the little bugger telepathically, What are you?

Proudly, the little further says, I'm a bowtrunkle!

What's a bowtrunkle?

Me!

Chuckling at the sass of the bowtrunkle, I decide to ask Newt about him.

Do you have a name? I ask the creature.

Yep!

Well, what is it?

Pickett!

What an adorable name for an adorable bowtrunkle!

Aww, thank you!

Pickett blushed, a little green bowtrunkle us blushing dark green! How cute!

I turned my attention to Newton, "Me. Scama-," Newton gave me a look, "-Newton, what is that on your coat?"

He was like a puppy as he started to turn in circles! Starting to laugh, I call over to Newton again, "He's on your pocket right now, you can stop turning!'

He stopped, and I saw Pickett holding onto Newton's jacket only by his two branch-like hands. Putting my own hands over my mouth to stiffle another chuckle, I saw Newton attempting to pull the little bowtrunkle off of him.

Newton turns to me with a sheepish smile, "Sorry, he has attachment issues."

Laughing, I say, "No problem, I do too!"

I go over to Pickett and place my hand out, urging him to come onto me.

Don't worry, you'll be back to Newton before long, I say to reassure the creature.

Okay, but I'm trusting you lady!

No problem.

Newton looks at me as Pickett and I have our little conversation, as though he knows that were communicating.

When Pickett moves into me, Newton seems surprised a d says, "Wow, he usually never likes new people. You must be special."

I smile, no one ever called me anything nice, especially not special. Unless in special need counts, which I don't.

"Must be because I have the aura of an animal, spend my day around plenty!"

"Of course, must be," Newton mutters, but doesn't seem convinced.

"So," Credence I interrupts, looking at Newton, "Are you going to tell us what he is?"

"Oh, yes. This is my bowtrunkle, I named him Pickett."

Once again, I'm completely entranced by this creature, "Aww, he's so adorable!"

Credence smirks, saying, "Of course you think he's cute, you think a worm is adorable!"

"Are they not? I mean, come on, they're small, squishy, delicate, and slimmy!" I exclaim.

Newton just looks at me, "Did you use 'squishy' and 'slimmy' for your argument about a worms cuteness?"

"Yes?" I answer hesitantly.

"Brilliant!"

"Huh?"

Whenever people hear why I think some animals are adorable they usually run the other way, glancing back only to make sure I wasn't following. While here is a man happy with my argument? Possibly areeing with it? This is one strange man. Not knowing normal animals, but carrying an abnormal one, agreeing with me on my views, How peculiar.

He puts hand behind his head, scratching his neck awkwardly, "Well, most women would call a worm disgusting."

"Placing me in a catagory already, Newton?"

"No, no! I only meant to compa-!"

Place my hand in the air, stopping him in the middle of his statement.

"Because you'll never find the right one," I smirk, seeing his hilarious expression.

"I think that is one thing we can agree on," added Credence.

1011 words! Sorry for the late update, I thought it had gone through but when I checked today I saw it hadn't. Anywho, the italics are her thoughts and her animal telepathy, just to clarify.

Sadly, my midterm week is over today and it'll take longer to update but I'm trying for once a week on Fridays. I'm changing the time if the film a little later to include a relationship with my oc (original character) but after that the movie scenes will come in! Till next week!
