"Aaron, Hurry up! Kelly and Darius are already at Simon's. They're waiting on us," Payton rushed, standing at the bottom of the staircase.

"Chill out! I'm feedin' Boba real quick," he shouted back.

Payton rolled her eyes and went over to the table to grab her stuff. She took out her phone, seeing a text from Kelly.

Kelly🙄 (6:17 pm): Y'all taking forever. Bring y'all asses on so we can cut this cake!

Payton sent her a text letting her know she and Aaron were on their way. Hearing footsteps, she looked to the side seeing Aaron holding a pair of pants and shoes.

"You're not even dressed yet!"

"Quit yellin' in my damn house," he mugged her, "I told you I ain't wanna go to no stupid party," he complained, and stepped into his pants.

Earlier, Payton had a talk with Aaron about him being more respectful towards Simon, since he invited him over. After a little bickering here and there, they finally came to an agreement that Aaron was gonna try to be nice to him for today, and today only.

Payton huffed and grabbed her bag off the table.

"Roll them eyes one more time," Aaron challenged.

Payton bravely stepped closer to him to make sure he had a good view of her rolling them again. Aaron for sure ran after her.

While Payton ran around the table, the strap from her bag accidentally got caught on one of the chairs. A combination of a scream and laughter came out of her mouth when Aaron came up behind her and grabbed her.

"One of these days, you gon' learn to quit fuckin' wit' me," he warned.

Payton grabbed the large box of Funions from the backseat and closed the door. She glared at Aaron as he took his precious time getting out the car. Going up to the door, Payton rung the doorbell.

"Happy Birthday!" she squealed, handing Simon her present.

"So you actually kept your word after all," he grabbed the box, giving her a side hug, "Thank you."

"No problem. Now you have to get me a box of airheads for my birthday."

"We'll see," Simon said before averting his eyes at Aaron, as he approach them with a mug on his face. Simon gave him a head nod. "Sup man, glad you decided to come," he greeted.

Aaron moved his lips to the side and looked away. Instead of opening his mouth and letting something slip out, he thought it was best for him to just not say anything at all.

Payton told Simon to ignore him and walked inside. Aaron followed behind while Simon locked the door back.

"It's bout damn time," Darius said, as Payton came into the room, "If y'all had waited any longer, we would've already started eatin' the cake."

"Blame your brother," Payton told him and came towards Kelly. She got off Darius's lap and hugged her.

"Hey Aaron," Kelly began to hug him too. He didn't say anything and waited for her to let go. She picked up on his negative vibe and furrowed her eyebrows. "What's wrong with you?"
