It's almost time for the baby to come. Everyone is keeping an eye on Elsa closely just in case the baby decides to come early. Anna came in quietly, seeing Elsa asleep. She carefully knocked on the door, slowly waking her, "Elsa, are you okay?" She sat up and rubbed her eyes, "yeah, I'm fine. Just tired." Anna sat next to Elsa on the bed, "how's the baby?" She smiled, "really active at the moment, it won't stay still." She smiled, "well, it should be here soon, don't worry." She held Elsa's hand and smiled. Elsa then felt pain and squeezed Anna's hand, "g-go get the midwife." Anna ran to get her and she and Jack waited outside. Elsa was in labor for hours, when finally a tiny cry was heard, it was a boy. Jack heard the crying and ran in, "a boy?" Elsa smiled, "yes, Carter." Jack sat next to Elsa and looked at the sleeping baby in her arms, "he is so beautiful. You did great honey." He kissed her head and watched their baby sleep. "Elsa, I can't thank you enough for carrying our boy. And I know it was hard bringing him into this world." She tiredly smiled, "it was the best decision I've ever made." He kissed her and smiled, "go on and sleep sweetheart, I'll take care of things." He smiled and carefully took Carter to his crib as Elsa drifted off to sleep. Jack quietly left the room and closed the door. He met Anna and Kristoff in the study. "How is she?" Kristoff smiled. Jack smiled and made a loving sigh, "she is fine." Kristoff looked at Anna, "what is it?" Anna smiled, "it's a boy, Carter." He sighed happily, "glad he's okay." Jack left to their room, "Hey honey, feeling better?" She looked up at Jack and smiled, "yeah, I'm fine. Just singing to him." Jack walked and sat next to her on the bed, "he's really a beautiful baby isn't he?" She randomly blurted out, "I-I could have died Jack." She looked down at her hands. He looked at her worried and confused, "w-what do you mean by that?" "Having a baby is dangerous for me Jack, I was told I had a 15% chance that I would live through childbirth. I almost died giving birth to him." At that point she curled her knees to her chest and cried hard. Jack even shed a tear as he hugged her, "shh baby, please don't cry. It's alright, you and our son are both safe. Nothing is going to happen, I promise." She looked up at him with tears just flowing down her cheeks, "y-you promise?" He smiled and wiped her tears before kissing her softly, "I promise." He then went back to what she said earlier, "wait, you said it was dangerous for you. Why?" She sighed, "well, it's because I have stage 3 kidney disease. And that means if I have babies then I could die." He held her hand, "isn't there a way to fix that?" She sighed, "no. I need a transplant to fix it, but no one is a match." Jack sighed, "I'll be right back." He got up and went back to Anna and Kristoff, "she told me why it was hard." Anna looked up at him, "what is it?" He sat next to her, "she has stage 3 kidney disease. Having a baby could have killed her. She said the physician told her she had a 15% chance with surviving. She said she needs a transplant to fix it, but no one is a match." Kristoff wanted to help his sister in law, "maybe I am." He went to the physician to see if he was a match, after the test came back, it said he was. Kristoff went back to them and smiled, "I can. I'm a match." Jack hugged him, "you would do that?" "Of course, after all, she is family." Soon he went in for surgery with Elsa. It took almost half the day, but the kidney Elsa needed was finally hers. She was in the recovery wing of the castle with Kristoff in the bed across the room. Soon Jack and Anna went to visit them, "how do you guys feel?" Elsa smiled and slowly sat up, "never better."
