"Which way did he run?" A nurse asked me.
I point to the left.
"Okay thank you"
Phil had actually went right but I wanted to give him time to run.
What could be so bad here that caused him to run?
About a day later they found Phil. He was beat up and bruised.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
It seemed as if his nice cute personality had been lost. Now his eyes were full of sadness.
"No" he says as tears start to fall from his eyes. "I'm not okay"
I put my head down. "What happened?"
Phil's POV:
"What happened?" Dan asked me.
I didn't know what to say.
Oh my boyfriend raped me and then left me for another man.
Like what.
"Nothing. It doesn't matter anyway."
Dan looks up at me with a fire in his eye.
"Yes it does. Tell me. What was so important that you had to run?"
I look down. Face in my hands.
"M-my boyfriend. He uh raped me. He also beat me. And then left me for another man."
I wanted to cry harder but Dan's arms wrapped around me.
"Oh Phil its okay. Its all going to be okay"
I rest my head on his shoulder.
"No its not. How can anything ever be okay again. I really loved him. I never expected he would do something like this"
Dan's POV:
"Phil, you never deserved that and its not your fault. Something good will come your way eventually you just have to wait for it, look harder, and believe with all your heart."
Phil wipes away his tears. "Thank you Dan"
He pulls away and plops on his bed.
So Phil is gay. Or bi. But what the hell am I. I think he is hot but. I don't know if I like him.
"What's on your mind Dan?"
I blush. "Nothing"
"Awe there has to be something on your mind"
"There really isn't."
Phil stands up and starts to tickle me.
One second he is crying the next he is laughing.
I become a laughing mess. "Phil stop!" I say while laughing.
Phil stops and looks at me hovering over my panting body.
He leans down and looks into my eyes. He did the last thing I expected him to do. He kissed me. Softly but then pulled away.
My heart starts singing. And I sit up.
"What was that for?" I ask.
He looks back at me with a frown and then grabs my hand roughly.
"That meant nothing. Okay. I just needed to. I don't know anymore" Phil puts his hands in his pockets and cries.
I look down at him.
Its okay Phil. Its okay.
