Louis Tomlinson's pov.
She shook her head wiped away the dried and wet tears off her face. Yet somehow she still looked beautiful. I shook the thoughts out of my head. I couldn't like her. I just got out of a relationship with Eleanor.
"You don't think you're beautiful?" she laughed bitterly down at me.
"I've been told otherwise for quite sometime," she frowned and took mascara or something and began reapplying it to her long thick lashes.
Anger surged through me. I didn't even know this guy and I wanted to beat him to a pulp. "He was lying." I said after taking a deep breath to calm myself. She scoffed and muttered 'yeah right' under her breath.
I stood up and opened the door for her. She gave me a slight smile and her face looked as if she had never even been crying. I don't know how girls do it.
"Oh," all the boys stopped when we walked out. They just happened to be passing at the same time. Niall smirked. "What are you two doin' in there?" Niall grinned at us and Evelyn looked as though she would pass at any second.
"Guys don't start," I warned and gave Niall a look. He looked at Evelyn confused and nodded at me. I sighed in relief. "Thank you."
"Boys," Paul's voice boomed through the hall and we all froze. Evelyn tensed up and I realized I had my arm protectively around her waist but when I tried to unravel it, it was too late. "Get your hands off her!" Paul snatched her roughly from me and she winced.
"Paul, Louis was helping her. She-" Liam tried but Paul cut him off.
"She doesn't need his help she's a grown adult she can do it on her own!" he boomed while Evelyn tried to wiggle out of his grasp.
"Ow, dad." she whimpered.
"...I'm sorry." he said and hugged her tightly. "I told you about them, they'll just hurt you." she nodded but didn't seem convinced.
"We'd never hurt her mate," Zayn pattted Paul on the shoulder.
"Don't mate me, you five boys are just waiting to snatch up a girl and it will not be Evelyn. She's my baby girl and I will protect her from any dangers before anything in the world." he looked directly at me.
"Paul, you think I'm going to hurt her?" I asked defensively.
"Dad," Evelyn shifted weight uncomfortably. "Can we just forget about this?"
"Hold on Eve." he stopped her. "Yes, I do. Just like you hurt Eleanor. She was a precious girl and you broke her heart." Everyone froze and anger built inside of me like a hurricane.
"How dare you!" I spat and sized up to him but he easily beat me in that category. "How dare you compare Evelyn to her, she was not right for me. Who do you think you are?!" I raised my voice and Evelyn stepped to my side.
"That wasn't at all called for Paul." Liam stepped between us. "And there won't be any fighting at all. We're all best mates wether you think it or not at the moment and we won't let this happen." he looked between Paul and I.
"Evelyn take Louis and calm him down." he noddded towards me like I wasn't even there.
Evelyn Higgin's pov.
"Why me?" I whispered lowly. I was surprised Liam even heard me respond.
"You seem to know how," he looked at Louis who was breathing hard.
My dad is going to kill me if I go with him but I grabbed his hand and lead him away despite my fathers hateful looks. Once we reached a dressing room that read One Direction I looked at Louis and he nodded. His face was still red and hair sticking up from running his hand through it. It was kind of sexy though, to be honest, seeing him fight over me.
Opening the mini fridge I pulled out a bottled water for him and he sipped it slowly. He looked deep in thought.
"What are you thinking about?" I broke the silence and he sighed rubbing his hands over his face. When he didn't asnwer I patted the spot next to me but instead he laid his head in my lap. I hesitated at first but ran my fingers through his scalp and he sighed in content.
"Honestly?" he asked and traced circles on my thigh. I traced his and my name into his scalp, calming him down.
"Honestly." I nodded and he looked up at me.
"You."
