A Gilmore Girls Continuation

Chapter 1

"Mom?". Rory turned to her mother.
"Yeah?"
"I am pregnant."
Silence.
Lorelai just starred at her daughter with an open mouth - barely knowing what she should say to her jobless 32 year old daughter who just dropped these gigantic news.
"Wwhaaat?", Lorelai stammered.
"I am pregnant.", Rory repeated.
"Yeah, I think I got THAT part", her mother responded sharply, but with a worried expression on her face.
"Rory, are you sure? But who is the father? It's not Peter, right? Please tell me it's not Peter!", she said almost hysterically.
Rory laughed unsurely. " It's the wookie's baby!"
"No!" , Lorelai reacted shockingly(?).
"Just kidding, mom." Rory felt the tense situation. For the second time in her life she knew that even Lorelai, the queen of jokes, wouldn't be able to take any jokes after her confession. She swallowed. "Its... Logan's" , Rory answered with a shaky voice  and suddenly realized that she didnt really give herself time to take in this information. That she was actually PREGNANT. From a guy who will get married in a week. A guy who didn't choose her. A guy she rejected 9 years ago when he proposed to her.
And then reality just overtook her. Under the gazebo, one day before her mom's wedding.
She immediately started to cry and hugged her mom as tightly as she could, tears running down all over her face.
"Hey kiddo, its all right . Shhh. You can do this. We will do this. ", her mom consoled her while brushing slowly over her hair. She kissed rory on her forehead. "We will do this." But Lorelai Gilmore was scared. Overwhelmed because the one thing happened which should't have happened. Not like that.
The smart Rory Gilmore, a Yale Graduate, back in Stars Hollow, but not the new Christiane Armanpour, not the Editor of the New York Times.
No job, no successful journalism career, no perspective. Nothing. They both sacrafieced so much, aimed so high.
Lorelai sniffed, she couldn't believe it. That was not how Rory's life should be.
And two and a half gilmore (girls) generations sat there , sitting under the beautiful decorated gazebo, starring at the sky not knowing what the future would hold them.
