More Than Just Friends

Chapter One: Ruby's First Day

It was 5 o'clock in the morning the outside looked so pitch black but was covered with sparkling stars, in a two story house lived a girl with brown hair and brown eyes..her name was Ruby and it was her first day of going to Metro Tech High School Academy with her best friends Sami, Bryan, and Leo.
She started to put her hair up in a ponytail and placed a jacket over her but just as soon as she was heading to the bus stop she forgot her home keys
"OH CRAP! MY KEYS!"
She yelled as she ran to her house and grabbed her keys and locked the door.

When the bus came she went in and sat down in the back and looked out the window while putting her hoodie over her head and listening to music
"Hopefully....I can meet someone new one day....I just know it!.."
The bus stops and ruby runs out of the bus and goes inside the school, a bunch of people are surrounded everywhere in classes, the cafeteria, including the basketball court while Ruby was trying to find Sami and everyone else someone yelled out her name
"Ruby! Ruby? Ruby! Over here!"
"Hmm? Sami!"
"Hey!"
"It's been so long, I missed you!"
"I did too!"
Sami and Ruby head to the playground and sit down on the swings but while they try to walk through the crowd Ruby bumps into someone and nearly falls but the person picks her up
"Are You ok?"
"Y-yeah...I'm ok...sorry."
"Heh heh..don't worry..you can fall for me anytime."
"Is that supposed to be a pun?"
"Yes! Hahaha!"
Ruby chuckles and looks at the person, it was a boy! He had blue eyes and blond/brown hair and nerdy looking glasses.
"I'm Ken.."
"I-I...I'm Ruby."
"Heh, I love your name, it reminds me of the jewel Ruby!"
"T-Thanks!"
"Are You new here?"
"Well..kinda, I transferred here instead of going to Alhambra."
"Oh, well you'll love it here, it's a really nice school!"
"Thanks! Well I uh...gotta go. Bye!"
Ruby runs outside the playground and goes up to Sami
"Did you get cramped in the crowd?"
"What? Pfffft! Nooo!"
The bell starts to ring and all the students attend to class, Ruby and Sami didn't have the same classes but they were across from each other, the teacher started to assign seats for everyone but Ruby sat in the back row in the corner not paying attention to anything of what the teacher had to say until she saw Ken coming in the door.
Ken looked at Ruby and gave her a sweet smile and a wink while he walked pass her, she started to blush and look away while the teacher and him were talking
"Are you part of our class, Kennith?"
"I'd rather be called Ken but yes I am!"
"Alright then, you can sit next to Ruby."
"Ok."
Ruby started to turn red from staring at Ken so much during class without being caught from him noticing until he looked at her and gave her a note...
