"Freaks! Freaks! Freaks! Freaks!"
I heard chanting as I approached the freak show.
wagons, balloons, tents, and trailers.
It was all there for show."Ugh.. why are we here hon? I despite those.. those mongrels"
My step mother said latching onto my fathers arm.
"You're a Mongrel.."
I hissed at her.
Raising a hand my dad scolded me"Now c'mon (y/n) were just simply trying to have a good time.."
Walking into the entrance my dad, and stepmother got all wound up into each others mouths, locking lips.
Disgusted I shook out of the circus tent and hid behind the trailers.
Outside of the show it was a ghost town, nothing to exhilarating.
"Hey you!"
The second I heard that yell I jumped for my life.
Slowly turning around to see a boy no older than myself.
"What's a lady like you doing back here?"
He smiled.
I rolled my eyes..
"I'm..just not into-"
"What? Show business?"
"Well. I was going to say objectifying human beings.. but sure"
I laughed.
Looking at the ground he lifted his eyebrows, and let a little smile slip."You're scared of em' aren't you?"
He laughed"No.. there like anybody else.. just different I suppose."
I smiled.
"Who are you anyways"
I said Laughing Making eye contact with his jet black eyes."I'm jimmy.. jimmy darling."
He winked.
I absolutely admired his looks, he had brown hair, and the cutest dimples.
"(Y/n).."
I held out my hand for him to kiss.
Something was triggered inside him, his facial expression changed, and his body langue was hard to read.
He held my hand up to his lips, and gave it a little peck.
The wind got speed, and a lot of it. It smacked jimmy's hat right of his head making us whale of laughter."Look..(y/n) I must get going.. I-I've got a job to get to."
He frowned"Well couldn't we have lunch or something of the sort?"
I flirted."Look.. I like you (y/n) but you wouldn't like me. I'd scare you."
He explained Slowly lifting his head up."Nothing will scare me jimmy. I wouldn't care if you were in a wheel chair."
"But it's not like that (y/n).. look I'll tell you after lunch but you have to promise me you won't be disappointed."
I nodded my head smiling.
"Thanks jimmy.."
We strolled on his motorcycle all the way to a dinner. Far enough from my parents.. the true freaks.
A freak is not what you've been born with.. it's what you can become.
My parents are freaks.
He jumped off his bike, and caught me in his arms.
"Wow.. you're pretty light doll."
He chuckled"Oh shut up.."
I snorted. We managed to fetch ourselves a booth for two.
The seats leather were tearing, and the wall paper was peeling off, but the food was sure good.
After talking about families and the filthy world, we broke into silence.
"..jimmy?"
I looked up in a caring matter."Yes?"
He replied."What are you so afraid of me knowing?"
I placed my hand on top of his glove."L-Look.. I promised I'd tell you.. but I can't"
He stuttered.
"Just tell me.. you some of me.. I promise I won't judge you.."
I frowned once again."If I tell you, you will go running like all the others.. like anyone would"
"No I won't!"
"(Y/n) Promise me you won't.."
"I won't.."
I replied.
With tears in his eyes he bravely lifted his glove. With his other hand he slowly pulled off the gloves, exposing his deformed hands.
One by the other.
Silence broke once again.."Are you afraid of me? Of these?"
He froze."No.. I took his hands. There fine."
I smiled."See I told you.. nothing to worry about with me.."
I hesitated knowing my father would never allow him.
I truly didn't mind his lobster hands, he had a kind heart, and a handsome face.---------------------------------------------------
