The leather around my neck forced my body up as his shadowed face looked down upon me. I was naked, covered only by my collar. I was his pet. I had no intent on defying him.

"Be a good girl for your Master," he spoke. With no hesitation I replied.

"Yes, Sir." He loosened his grip and I bowed my head before him. I was on my hands and knees now. Awaiting his command.

"Now wake up."

My alarm was blasting loudly from on top of my cabinet across the room. I moved it there for school. By the time I had walked over to  it, climbed up to reach it, hit snooze, and put it back, I was wide awake.

"I don't even have school anymore.." I had forgotten to turn off my alarm last Wednesday when I got home after exams.

I slumped back onto my bed and tried to understand my dream. Why do I keep having these dreams? I've been told all my life that a women is meant to stand up for herself, to not let a man use me.

"Use me." Why do these thoughts keep clouding my head? I can't keep them away long enough to focus on anything. I almost couldn't finish my exam.

I shove this aside as I lock my bedroom door to change. I live with one of my best friends, Alyson Kyle. She has been my friend for a long time, I even have a job at her family's grocery store. I wasn't afraid of her barging in, but I have terrible anxiety.

I dig through my closet and dresser drawers to find a special outfit for this weekend. Alyson said that she was making plans for a couple of our friends to go to this club she heard about. She said everyone there is suppose to be fun and uninhibited. That thought kind of scares me. I've never been good around people.

After what feels like twenty minutes of searching I finally pull together an outfit that fits my envisioning of a rave party: a leather pink miniskirt, a fishnet top, with a tight purple crop top.

"Is this even what people wear..?" I'm never good at this kind of thing. I hear a knock on my door with Alyson's voice.

"Hey, Rain, you up?"

"Yeah, just give me a minute."

"Well, hurry up, we gotta get to our appointment."

"Alright, I'll be ready in a minute."

Alyson and I are going out to get our hair dyed. Now that we are finally out of high school we can dye it without being berated about it being a distraction.

I change into my regular clothes, a baggy shirt that's too big for me and a pair of old jeans that are just too long for my legs. I stuff the excess into my boots and slip on my hoodie before grabbing my phone and earbuds before walking out.

"Finally, I've been waiting on you, girl."

"Sorry, I'm was picking out my outfit for Saturday."

"Oh, about that, Rain. We're gonna have to reschedule."

"Oh.. did something happen?" I couldn't let her know how relieved I was.

"Yeah, we're gonna need a couple weeks to let our colors set in."

"Oh yeah."
