Chapter 1: out of the closet

Draco's pov:

I smiled to myself, I was almost home. 3 days from now it would be Christmas. My smile faded this was my last real year at Hogwarts. next year father would put me through the process of becoming a death eater. the train whistle broke the tension in the train. I jumped up and grabbed my bag and calmed my self down and walked down the stairs to the platform and looked around for my parents. They weren't hard to find though. the only people dressed completely in black with bleach blonde hair I walked over and hugged my mother and shook hands with father as we walked to the car. I sat in the back as we spoke about school then father asked me the question I knew he was going to but I still wasn't ready to hear his name. "so have you killed that potter boy yet?" why did he have to say it like that? "no father." I said. I knew that when we got home I had to tell them. we were silent from then on. we got home and sat down to an already ready dinner. we sat down and ate as mother and father talked about the plans for my future. as the servants took away our plates I stood and asked"may I speak father?" "Yes of corse son, go ahead" I suddenly started to sweat "honey are you feeling alright?" "yes....yes I am." I took a deep breath and just said it "mother, father I'm-I'm gay" my mothers eyes grew wide and father just sat there looking at the table his mouth half open. then father stood up and walked to me his face full of anger. I was scared so scared. I took a step back as He got closer and closer. he reached out graves the collar of my shirt and I fell to the ground. the side of my face stung, it took me a second to realize what had happened. then father kicked my stomach and spoke in a voice I had never herd from him before. "you are not my son." he kicked me and dragged me to the front door and threw me out. "COME BACK WHEN YOU WANT TO BE A MALFOY!" he yelled and slammed the door. I got up and ran. tears ran down my face as I ran into the woods that backed up to our property. I got tired and sat down, I wept. I didn't know what to do. I looked up, I'd never been in this part of the woods before. a snowflake fell before me and I stood still crying. I looked to my left and saw something fluttering in the wind. it was a note nailed to a tree it said "ALWAYS WATCHES, NO EYES" I backed away slowly and took my wand out of my pants loop and ran. I found a clearing and set up protection spells. I also built a fire to keep warm. I fell asleep and dreamed of a better life.
