"You will make everything right." my father said while giving me my lightsaber for the last time. "I love you very much and I would've done anything to stop this from happening. I'm sorry but I have to go. I love you." He gave me a hug and closed off the exit of my hiding spot with a giant rock and left me in the dark. I never knew what had happened to him. All I knew was that the Empire came to our village looking for something from my family but my father never got the chance to tell me. Days passed and my father never returned. I thought he had forgotten about me and no one would come to help me, but someone did. A jedi. Who called himself Obi Wan Kenobi. He found me and saved my life. He became a mentor and another father to me and taught me about my family's importance of the war between the Empire and the Rebellion. He even took me to the Rebellion's base a couple of times where he would discuss things on the council and I would wait outside talking with one of the soon to be captain. But that was years ago. I've moved on from Obi Wan and are living in Jedah City where I could finally live a normal life. There, I met Baze Malbus and Chirrut Imwe who were protectors of the Jedi temple. I stayed with them at the temple for years until it was destroyed by the terrible Empire.
"Wylara, we have to leave. There's nothing here." Chirrut said to me.
"Nothing here?! They were our friends!" I yelled back at him and started walking towards him aggressively but Baze stopped me.
"That's not what he meant!" Baze yelled at me. "That's not what he meant. Come on. They're gonna come back. We need to leave before they do."
I nodded and we made our way back into the city, where we would stay spreading the ways of the force. "I am one with the force. The force is with me. I am one with the force. The force is with me. I am one with the force. The force is with me. I am-"
"Will you two stop?!" Baze finally yelled after Chirrut and I kept saying that phrase for at least a couple of hours now.
"Something's going to happen very soon, I can feel it." I stated.
"Yeah. Yeah." Baze replied and as soon as he finished an explosion erupted in the distance. Base looked to Chirrut and me to find us smirking and he rolled his eyes.
The three of us ran off to where the ruckus was to find Imperial Stormtroopers and a bunch of Saw Gerrera's men having a shootout. During this however, Chirrut noticed that two of the shooters were not apart of either side, but in fact rebels. We followed them and saw that they ended up in another situation with more Stormtroopers. Chirrut immediately went in to fight and kicked all their asses and another wave instantly appeared but were taken down by Baze's firepower. I was of no help at the time but instead noticed one of the rebels we "rescued" and he noticed me. "Lara?"
"Cassian. I have-" I was cut off by Saw Gerrera's men unarming us and putting black sacks over our heads, including Chirrut, causing him to complain about how he is blind.
They took us to their base and threw us all, except for the one rebel girl, into a cell. "great. Just great. See Chirrut. Now look what you've gotten us into. you just had to interfere with the problem."
"Well if I hadn't. You wouldn't of found your friend here." he replied.
I sat in defeat and stayed silent until Cassian spoke up, "What happened that day?"
"What do you mean what happened? You're the one who stayed with the Rebellion. I left and that was my choice and you or anyone else, including Obi Wan, wouldn't of changed it. I never wanted to fight this battle Cassian. You said you didn't either but I see that isn't true." I said a little upset.
"I never said that I didn't want to fight. I wanted to finally put an end to the Empire so that the galaxy could live without fear. So that's what I'm doing."
"Are you two done?" Baze asked annoyed.
"No." Cassian and I replied in unison.
"So what... what are you doing now?"I asked.
"Trying to find a Imperial Pilot. He has been given a message from Galen Erso, Jyn's father, about the weapon the Empire is building and hopefully knows where Galen is."
"And why is that?"
Baze cut me off, "The pilot." I guess the Imperial Pilot was in the cell next to us because Baze tried grabbing him but Cassian stopped him.
"Hey... Hey! You're the pilot right? Galen Erso sent you." Cassian said to him.
"The...the pilot?"he asked confused.
"Yeah. The pilot." Cassian reassured him. But before the pilot could respond, the ground shook. It had felt like an earthquake. All of Saw Gerrera's men went into a craze and started running out of the base. They were to busy running to notice us escaping from our cell. Cassian told us to get the pilot and get out of there and he ran off to who knows where. Baze shot the control panel to the pilot's cell and we headed out of the base to see the horizon. But there wasn't a horizon. Cassian and Jyn caught up to us and we all hopped into a ship driven by the one and only K2-SO. "K2! Let's get out of here!" Cassian yelled while getting into the pilot's seat and we left the planet of Jedha.
"What is she doing here?" K2-SO asked Cassian but I knew that he was referring to me.
"Nice to see you to K." I said, "I see that you're the same sarcastic droid as you used to be."
"I'll take that as a compliment." he stated, "Cassian, why is she coming along? The chance of her leaving us to die again is high. I calculated a 73% chance this time."
"I didn't leave you guys to die. Stop exaggerating. I needed my own help so I left."
"Yeah you left the Rebellion. You were hope for all of them."
"K2... drop it." Cassian said sternly.
"Fine. I'm just stating what happened."
"K2, set course for Eadu." Cassian ordered after finding out from the Imperial Pilot, Bodhi Rook, where he thinks Galen Erso would be.
I never wanted to take part in this fight but now, I think I might have to.
