After everything on Eadu, we headed back to the Rebellion's base in hopes of persuading them that Galen Erso rigged the so called, Death Star. Jyn's father is gone and there was nothing any of us could of done. We all learn another thing on the way back to the base, Cassian's orders was to not only find Galen Erso, but also to kill him. Of course he didn't pull the trigger but those were Rebel ships that bombed the platform. "Jyn. That's all Cassian does, ever since I knew him. Always following orders and never asking questions why he should kill this person or why he should kill another person. Cause that's what he does best." I said to Jyn.
Cassian stormed over to me, "I've been in this fight since I was six years old. I'm actually doing something about it. Unlike you who ran from the battlefield to go off and try to spread peace by doing nothing." He walked away mad but I knew that deep down all he wanted to do was make sure that the galaxy was at peace and save as many people as he could.
I turned back to Jyn, "He's a good man. He just doesn't think so. Believe me. He's an even better friend. If you knew him back then, I'm sure you would have seen the real man he is. I don't see the same spark in his eyes though. I hope I get to see it again very soon." She smiled at me and I walked over to Chirrut and Baze. "What would you two sacrifice in the end?"
"I don't know. I guess only time will tell." Chirrut stated and the ship landed.
All of us headed out of the ship onto the platform of the base. It was exactly as before and there was still many people rushing about. Cassian and Jyn had to meet with the council and I did not want to be anywhere near that place so I stayed with the others.
About an hour passed and Cassian and Jyn returned, "She doesn't look to happy." Baze stated referring to Jyn. "What happened?"
"They won't do it. Without the full agreement of the council, they won't carry out the mission." Jyn sighed.
"So what do we do?" Bodhi asked.
"We go get the plans ourselves."
"Just the four of us?" I asked and Baze shook his head. He pointed to something behind Jyn and I. There Cassian stood with about ten men ready to go into battle. "Well then, I guess we have our team."
Cassian apologized to Jyn about lying to her about her father and after, all of the men, including Chirrut, Baze, and Jyn, left to prepare for the battle ahead of them leaving cassian and I standing there.
"What? I'm coming with you guys relax. I'm not going to, ya know 'let you guys to die again' as K poetically put it." I said air quoting K2-SO.
"Actually you're not going with us."
"You have got to be kidding me." I said in disbelief, "You've literally been complaining about me not doing anything about the war. Now I'm actually going to do something. Why won't you let me go?"
"Because you can't."
"What do you mean I can't? I'm more than capable of taking care of myself."
"I know you can take of yourself but-"
"But what?" I asked and then realized, "Are you not letting me go? Why Cassian?"
"It's an order!"
"Again with the orders!" I exclaimed, "Orders from who?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." he stated.
"Orders from who." I asked again.
"Who else cares about you more than me?"
I realized who he was talking about but he couldn't possibly still be keeping an eye on me could he? "No. It's not him. And you don't even care about me anymore. You hate me for leaving. Even K does. I'm sorry. We were best friends and I ruined it. I'm sorry for leaving but he definitely isn't coming back."
"Are you sure about that?" a voice said behind me. I turned around to see my old guardian Obi Wan Kenobi standing there in his same old brown, Jedi robe. "Wylara... you can't go to Scariff. We have other matters to attend to."
"No. No. You can't just come back into my life and tell me I can't help my friends get the plans to the Death Star. Nothing's more important than this right now. For once I'm trying to do something right for the galaxy and now you're telling me no?"
"While Captain Andor and the Imperial Droid, K2-SO, would love to see you redeem yourself because of going with them, I have to make sure that you return home with me. And I mean your real home on Corellia. I'm sorry Wylara, but I'm sure you can see them all after very soon." Obi Wan stated.
I looked to Cassian and he nodded to me, signaling me that I should go with Obi Wan. I nodded back and gave Cassian a hug, "Be careful. I'll see you later okay? After this time, I will never leave you again."
I released the hug and Cassian said, "Thank you Lara. I'll be seeing you real soon." After that he ran off to the stolen ship we acquired and they all flew off into space.
It turns out that Cassian and the others would be the ones to leave me this time.
