I'm the new girl in town, my name's Lindsey. I'm not popular and I only have 2 friends. Mackenzie is my best friend, she is my support friend, always helping me gather myself up and keep going on in life. Jenny is another one of my best friends and she's a party girl and helps me get out more often. Mackenzie and Jenny are the best things in my life that really matter to me right now. It's just me, Mackenzie, and Jenny since I couldn't find a place to stay but until then I'm living in a dorm with them.

...

While I was studying one night there was a knock at my door and I just so happened to be the only one there so I answered it. I looked through the peephole only to find out it was Alex Nichols standing behind my dorm room door. I opened it up and let him inside.

"Are you looking for someone?" I asked confused.
"I'm looking for you, actually." His eyes were deep green.
"And what are you doing here?" I said rather annoyed because he'd disturbed me while I was studying.
"I've been meaning to talk to you personally for a while." He said with a uncomfortable look on his face.
I didn't understand why he would want to talk to me, but I couldn't believe that he was looking for me.
"Why are you looking for me?" I asked him.
"... Well I know you probably don't know this but I've known you for a while and I've been wanting to tell you this ..." he said as if he was going to confess something to me "I fell in love with you but I didn't realize it until about a week or 2 ago after I'd seen you in the halls." He said.

He caught me completely off guard. I blushed to the tips of my hairs on my head. My breath caught and I tried to see but couldn't because my eyes got blurry. I couldn't tell if it was real or not so I pinched myself trying to get a grip and not let him get inside my head that easily.

He is so tall and handsome. He has dark brown hair and he has the most gorgeous green eyes. Amazing tan that helps extend his attractive looks. He makes every girl swoon feeling special, and beautiful in every single way. Although he is the ideal image of a f-boy, he is just perfect. He is the High School QB for the football team and he has muscles that flex at every movement.

"Hello? Lindsey are you okay?" He said with curiosity plastered across his face. I shook my head, "Yea, thanks for asking.", blushing because he noticed me staring and memorizing every inch of him.

He has the most beautiful facial features. Strong and defined. I also noticed that he was  admiring me as well. Our eyes met and we both quickly turned away, I'd hoped he couldn't see me although, I think that he saw how scarlet red my face had already gotten.

"Hey, uh, Lindsey, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out and talk tonight but I totally understand if you don't want to." He said with a smile that curled up to show dimples on both of his cheeks. His smile was so warm and bright, he had straight, white teeth and light pink lips that were a bit plump.

"I would love too!" I said with a smile. He smiled back and I got into his car. We wanted to get to know each other so he took me to the cafe down the road.

We pulled in the parking lot and parked his black Chevy Impala. He walked around his car and opened the door for me. This night was already perfect how could it get any better. I got out of the car and walked in the cafe and ordered a french vanilla cappuccino and he ordered a double chocolate iced coffee. He told me he'd pay and asked me to go grab a seat for us.

I got a seat for us and he sat down across from me with our drinks. He gives me my drink and starts to drink his. I take a sip of my drink and it's a sweet taste and he is staring at me while I am drinking I set it down and almost spit out my drink but, I choked on it instead. He laughed and asked if I was okay, although it burned my throat a little bit I said I was fine. He grabbed a napkin and slowly wiped my face with a grin on his face. He took the napkin away from my face and wiped the spot on my lip he'd missed, with his thumb.

"What is your favorite color, sport, and activity to do?" I asked.

"Well that is a lot of questions but since we are trying to get to know each other better I guess they are necessary. oI love the color green, I love to play football and baseball, and I love to sit outside by the fire at night with my girl cuddled up next to me. " He said but I am still unsure of what he tends on doing with our friendship yet. "What about you?" He asked smiling at the thought.

"I love the color orange, my favorite sport is softball and bowling just to help clear my mind, I enjoy watching the sun set on the beach with my boyfriend holding me in his arms as we lay side by side until the sun has set and we camp overnight."I said as I took a sip of my coffee. " What is your favorite place to go or be?" I asked.

"I would love to be in Paris, France with my dad right now but I have school and my favorite place there is the lavender fields where I used to take my first girlfriend Lily. I bought her a beautiful yellow dress that fit her perfect and matched her skin so well. I took her to the fields of lavender and had my camera and she did poses and was just doing whatever she wanted to do in the field while I took photos of her running around doing whatever she wanted." He said with a sad smile. I guess it was because he missed her dearly. I mean who wouldn't miss there first boyfriend or girlfriend. I still remember mine. "We had to separate because I had to move away.  I miss her badly, although I knew it wouldn't make it passed a few years." He said sadly.

"I know the pain for I have been through the same thing so don't put too much fault on yourself." I said with pride that he would understand that I stood with him so he wouldn't blame himself on something that wasn't his fault. "It's going to be okay, I promise." I said grasping his hand and rubbing the back of it, hoping he would be okay with just leaving it at that because it I honestly didn't want to carry on this conversation, but I was left with an empty feeling inside of me. It hit me right then that I had instinctively grabbed his hand and now he holds it in his, looking at me with a feeling of security.

Gage, was my first boyfriend. We had so much fun in Arizona when I lived there and went to Micheal J. High School. We had 3 classes together and we walked and held hands through the halls to our next classes. He had dirty blonde hair and sky blue eyes and just was made for me. But, as time flew by and it came to the end of the year and everybody was moving away and he was one but he moved to a different city, not a different state like I did. I was left heart-broken went we went our separate ways. Words could never express the pain I went through.

Not only was that where I had to lose my boyfriend but, that was the house my mother passed away at and I couldn't believe that we were moving away. My dad died 2 years after we moved which caused me to move into the dorm room with my friends.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I remembered where I was. Alex held my face with so much worry. I guess I started to cry thinking about all of that. But thank god he was there to comfort me because without him I would look so out of it and look ridiculous.
"Lindsey, do you want me to take you to your dorm room?"
"Yes, please, I would like that a lot."

We start for his car and he opens the door for me. He walks back around and begins his engine. He reaches over and grabs my hand again beginning to rub the back of it trying to help soothe me. The entire way home was silent and I was grateful he didn't want to bring up anything that had just happened previously at the cafe.
