"Flames so hot that they turn blue
Palms reflecting in your eyes, like an endless summer
That's the way I feel for you
If time stood still I'd take this moment
Make it last forever"

One thing led to another, and the next thing Daphne knew, Raven had her drinking, along with Angel and herself, claiming it would "ease her nerves" after the event that just occurred. Raven and Daphne were standing on the sofa dancing to the music that played in the background, while Angel flew back and forth. Daphne thought it felt good to let loose and have fun after having to hide in Jason's appartment for so long.

One moment Daphne was having fun, the next she had fallen off the couch towards the boys, who were hitting Darwin with random objects.

Everyone froze for a second and looked at the girl concerned. Suddenly Daphne busted into a fit of laughter.

"Raven, what did you give her?" asked Hank in a scolding manner.

"We just took a few shots, I drank more than she did!" Raven said in defense.

Alex bent down next to a giggling Daphne. "You don't drink much do you?" he said with amusement.

"Nope. Never actually, but it's so fun!" the girl gushed staring at her hand and wiggling her fingers as if it was the most fascinating sight in the world.

Alex shook his head and smiled at the girl before helping her up and going back to his previous actions.

Meanwhile Charles and Erik along with Moira Mactaggert were approaching the room the mutants were in.

"I think they're gonna surprise you.
They're an exceptional bunch
of young people." Charles bragged on his newly assembled team of mutants.

"What the hell?" asked Moira when she got a glimpse of what the group was currently doing. "What are you doing?" she yelled, getting attention of the young  mutants who all stopped immediately.

"Who destroyed the statue?" asked the woman, her voice laced with frustration.

"Daphne." Sean quickly said, pointing at the girl.

"Not true!" Daphne defended. "Alex destroyed it first! Well technically, Angel melted the top of it and then Alex shot it with his hula hoops and then I-"

"Not relevant." Raven cut her off. "And it's Aquaria and Havok, we have to call them that. That's their names now. And we were thinking, you should be Professor X and you should be Magneto." Raven stated.

"Exceptional." said Erik, his voice laced with sarcasm.

"I expect more from you." Charles directed towards Raven, who looked upset. Daphne put a hand on her back to comfort the girl.

After the awkward embarassement from the previous situation had died down, the mutants were sitting on the couch talking about their pasts. Daphne sat in between Raven and Alex, while the others sat across from them on the other sofa.

"I realized I was a mutant when I was a little kid. I was at the mall with my family and my parents told me no when I asked if I could have something so I threw a tantrum and screamed at the top of my lungs. The power in the building went out and I broke every single glass object in the store." Sean finished and everyone laughed at the story.

"There wasn't really a time when I found out I was a mutant... I just always knew I was different." Raven stated, looking down. "Anyways, when I was a little kid I was homeless, so I snuck into Charles's house and pretended to be his mother in order to get food. Charles knew I wasn't his mother, but his family ended up taking me in because they had found someone else like him." Raven ended with a smile.

"You look like you have a tragic backstory Alex, care to share how you realized you had mutant powers?" asked Sean.

"I was taken from my parents when I was little. I grew up in an orphanage. I was adopted by a family that had just lost a son. One day the man who killed their son kidnapped me and my foster sister. My powers appeared for the first time and I accidentally killed him. I went to prison for it. I made them put me in solitary confinement because I didn't want to hurt anyone else. I was in prison until Charles and Erik got me out."

"I'm sorry I asked." said Raven.

"I don't really mind talking about it anymore." Alex shrugged. "I've spend a lot of time alone so it actually feels good to talk to people that understand."

In attempt to provide comfort and reassurance, Daphne placed her hand on the top of his that was resting palm-faced-down on the sofa.

"What about you Daph?" asked Raven.

"Um, well I was born with this hair color," Daphne picked up a lock and twisted it around her finger nervously. "It's immune to hair dye and the doctors could never really explain how I ended up with it. It was a target for teasing at school, and one day, about two years ago I was tripped in the school cafeteria and someone dumped their lunch on me. All the anger and humiliation caused my powers to come out for the first time, and I destroyed a parking lot." Daphne ended while forcing a laugh.

She didn't realize that she had been squeezing Alex's hand throughout the majority of her story until Alex flipped his hand over and intertwined his fingers with Daphne.

In turn, Daphne turned her gaze to look up at him only to realize he had already been looking at her. They instantly sank in to each other's gaze. Their eyes somehow saying what each other needed to hear, and they instantly knew they both understood the loneliness and isolation that came as a results of their destructive attributes.

While the others were taking amongst themselves, Raven was watching their encounter. Noticing that they looked at each other just a little bit too long for it to be nothing more than a simple friendly gaze. She then turned her gaze to Hank as he chatted with Darwin, secretly hoping that she could have the same connection with him.
