You Can Not Stop The Night So Do Not Waste Your Day

You can not stop the Night, so do not waste your day.

Let's face it, Death is inevitable. No one knows what happens when you die but deep down we all know it's going to happen. You may die young in a car crash, you may die of old age, you can die from almost anything. There is nothing you can do to prevent this and even if you could would you... Do you really want to live forever? I for one wish to peacefully fade away into nothing. I do not know what will happen when my heart stops beating but that does not mean I should waste my life scared of the unknown.

Do not waste your day trying to stop the night, enjoy the sun and hopefully the moon will be just as pretty.

"Oma!" squeaked Lilly as she stared, wide-eyed, up at her Grandmother.

"Hello Sweetie-Pie" replied her Oma. The small girl with eyes of hazel and hair of gold rushed up to the old woman who still smelt of cookies after all these years. "Momma said you died and you wouldn't be coming back!" said Lilly. "Well I did die Lilly, you have to but it's alright." Replied her Oma.

"What!" choked out Lilly, "What happened? Where am I?" "I'm not quite sure darling but you have to go with Grim over there." Replied the Grandma gesturing her hand towards a cloaked figure holding out their hand in the distance. "Where will they take me? Will I go to heaven like Momma said?" asked the small trembling girl. "It's a secret Lil but if you go with them you'll be able to see and I'll go to you once you get there" assured Lilly's Oma.

Just as Lilly was about to walk towards death she turned and asked "What about Momma and Papa, will they miss me, will they be lonely?" "They will be for a while but they'll be okay, I promise." Explained the Grandmother.

And with that Lilly let death cold hands guide her through the mist towards her afterlife. She would return to that misty plane eventually to guide her parents to the reaper but until then she would stay in a mystery land only open to the dead.

A/N

This was supposed to be a full length novel with different chapters exploring different religions ideas of what happens after death but I suck and have no ideas sooo........
