We went out to eat after we got checked into the hotel. We had a great time just talking and hanging out. We had a drink or two but we made sure not to get drunk.
“Tomorrow we will get ready to climb Mount Olympus,” Lucy told us on our way back to the hotel.
I pressed the up button on the elevator to go to our floor. As we waited for the elevator Jake wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him.
“How about you come to my room tonight?” he whispered in my ear.
I pushed him away and shook my head. I turned around just as the doors to the elevator opened and the guy I saw earlier today was getting off. He smiled at me as he walked by and as his hand brushed against mine, I felt sparks.
“Who was that?” Jake asked looking a little pissed.
“I don’t know, it was some stranger,” I told him.
He snorted like he didn’t believe me, but left it alone after that. We got off the elevator on the ninth floor and headed to our room. I was about to go to my room when Jake stopped me.
“Felicia, I love you but I want more than just handholding, and kisses,” he said looking a little sad.
“Well Jake, I’m then, because I’m not ready to do any more than that,” I told him.
I left him there standing in front of our room. When I closed the door my friend and sister was sitting on the couch looking at me.
“What happened?” Bell asked.
“I think we just broke up,” I told them.
“Are you okay?” Lucy asked me.
“Yeah, actually I’m better than okay, I’m great,” I told them.
I called down to the front desk and asked if we could have a bottle of champagne brought to our room. The girls looked at me weird and I laughed.
“We have a reason to celebrate,” I told them with a sly smile.
