I look out of the window and plug in my headphones. I didn't even want to have this freaking mission. Why couldn't they have given it to Steph, she would have fit in here so much better. The car (well limo) pulls up to the boarding school. Alexandra's Institution of Perfection in Young Women, or in other words, hell. "This is stupid." I mutter to myself. All of the girls here will be prissy and stuck up with their stupid thought processes. They probably care more about their hair than their ability to perform a roundhouse kick. Steph finds it a lot easier to do this kind of thing, she could totally pass for a rich girl, not that she's like them. It's just that she actually cares about trivial things like fashion and make up. I shudder at the thought of anything like that, and to think that this is my first mission. When you think of mission you think high-octane, action packed, mystery loaded missions, not going to some stupid girls school. And they haven't even fully briefed me yet so I don't even know what my mission is. How ridiculous is that?! They send me here yet they don't tell me what my mission is. For all I know they're just having a laugh and actually there isn't even a mission. I swear if that's the case then… they'll be sorry. "Your stuff has already been sent straight to your room, m'am." says my chauffeur (aka my supervisor - he supervises my missions and he chooses them).
"When will I find out what my mission actually is?" I hiss at him, not best pleased. He just smirks in his annoying way and shrugs.
"Oh I dunno." he replies nonchalantly, closing the door as I get out.
"You suck." I grumble, maintaining my anger as best I can when he's got that mischievous grin on his face.
"I'll be seeing you." he says, "Oh and remember that Steph is overseas - California - so don't run up the bills calling her." he taunts before driving off. I huff and walk up to the gates, gulping. Why couldn't he have at least come inside with me? That sounds really childish, doesn't it? A girl who could probably take on most of the sissies inside the whole building is too scared to approach it. I gulp as I knock on the massive brass door, my heart stuttering.
"Welcome to Alexandra's Institution of Perfection in Young Women." says a lady. She's got soft blonde hair which is turning grey alongside a set of piercing green eyes and a beautiful fake smile. I instantly note a few more facts about her face which would make her stand out in a crowd, not because I have to but because I'm trained too. It's like breathing to me, I don't really think about it, it just happens. "This proud establishment was set up in 1863, but you don't want to hear all of that boring drivel, how about I introduce you to the head girl?" she asks me. To be honest, I think to myself, the 'drivel' is probably more likely to help me when my mission is revealed. A background check can't hurt. But instead of saying this I just smile politely and nod, "That would be great!" I gush, trying to inject enthusiasm into my voice. The woman seems to fall for it as she calls the name 'Harriet' and another blonde girl with green eyes appears. They're clearly related, most likely grandmother and granddaughter judging by the headmistresses age. They both have the same eye shape and the same hair colour, albeit the headmistresses hair is fading a little. I extend my hand and put on a really bright smile, "Hello." I say as this Harriet girl shakes my hand.
"Hello there." she replies, wringing my hand. I get the feeling she doesn't like me much.
"Well I'll leave you girls to get on with it then." the headmistress says, turning around and going back into her office.
"So you're the fabled Cassandra Connors?" Harriet asks with a lopsided smile, or should I say snarl because she seems to represent a dog; an angry one.
"I don't know about fabled, but yes I'm Sandra Connors." I murmur back in reply.
"Oh! Sandra, do you not like being called your full name?" she asks me. Studying her face I smile before I reply.
