If i didn't play innocent he'd spit me up and chew me right out. I'd have no human contact ever again and probably be home schooled.
I glanced up, catching his causal gaze. He had no suspicions, easing a bit of my worries. "I heard talk about it in history? Not much.." I mumbled, my tone soft as I chewed slowly.
I swallowed down hard, finishing the last of my meatloaf as I tried to bring up a new subject.
"I got a 98 on my exam in physics today." I told the table, my voice ringing with pride.
My dad was clearly distracted by my words, exactly what I wanted. "Look at you!" He said excitedly, glancing over at my mom.
"I'm so proud of you, hunny." My mom said, flashing her loving mom smile. Even if I had failed miserably she would have showed me the same exact amount of love, like mothers were suppose to do.
My dad closed the prayer before he dismissed us all to our bedrooms for the rest of the night. I was a nervous wreck. I needed some type of reassurance.
My brother went up first and then I, Cindy getting some loving before bed. Like always. Cindy was the real stereotypical preachers daughter. She might have only been eight but she didn't even walk the wrong way.
I slipped into my brothers room, catching him with a bowl in his hand. he practically threw it out the window, his gaze narrowing when he saw it was me.
"C'mon chance, can't knock?" He hissed, looking over the ledge for his bowl that was probably in the bushes.
"A drill? Y'know dad doesn't always knock." I reminded him, a sheepish grin on my face as I sat down on his desk.
"I need you to do me a favor." I said, all innocent like hoping he'd still tell me yes even if I'm the reason his bowl was in the bushes.
He didn't say a word, he just watched me closely as his dark eyebrows furrowed together.
"Franky really wanted me to join her in attending that party.." I told him, watching his gaze involuntarily soften up when hearing the girls name.
"She invited you and not me?" He said quickly, almost as if he was offended.
"Look, William. I'll guarantee you the next party if you just cover for me tonight, alright??" I spoke, trying my hardest to get him to agree.
He let out a deep sigh in contemplation before he nodded. "Fine, now get out of here before you're caught." He told me, turning back to the window.
"I love you." I squealed, stepping out of his room and into my own across the hall.
In a few minutes my dad stepped into my room, his eyes roaming around the dark. I could hear him mumble a prayer before he stepped out and probably moved into Williams room.
I waited until I heard the familiar creaking of the steps before I jumped up and got ready for the night that was just about to begin.

Eight o'clock rolled around and all I was waiting for was a text from Franky. I sat at the edge of my bed, my hair straight as a pin and my makeup dark enough to NOT be labeled preachers daughter.
By eight thirty I was out of my window, crawling down my moms lattice, trying hard to keep my feet from tangling in ivy wrapped around. When I got to the bottom, I sent Franky a text to meet me half way down the block.
I scouted out her Honda parked on the side of the street, stepping up my pace so I could get out of the cold and into her so called car.
I shut the passenger door behind me, a wide grin on my face. I was hiding away how scared I was of getting caught.
"Go ahead, strip. put this on." Franky barked, handing me a black dress that was much shorter than I was used to.
I pulled my shirt up and over my head, slipping into it quickly. I pulled off my jeans and changed into the heels she hat brought for me, thank god for sharing the same shoe size as your best friend.
I ran my fingers through my hair, glancing over at her. "How do I look?" I said, batting my eyelashes playfully.
She let out a laugh before she slapped my arm. "You look fine, time to party." She said with a wink before she sped off.
~*~
She pulled up to a big house on third street, my eyes circling the front yard and all of the people. There was so many cars, they moved down the street."I got special parking." She said, completely satisfied with herself as she pulled into the end of the driveway.
"Lucky you." I said, rolling my eyes before I climbed out of the car and shut the door. I followed behind Franky, she clearly knew what she was doing.
She wandered into the door, without even knocking. who does that? I followed behind her hesitantly, my eyes searching the crowd of people as we entered the house.
"Welcome, bitches." A familiar voice rang through my ears, causing a chill to run up my spine, B freaking Holbrook.
Not only was I at a party, I was at B's party and I couldn't have felt more sick. My eyes locked with hers as hers looked me up and down. A wide smirk planted on her face when she finally met my gaze.
