~~~Cinder~~~
That night the royal family and I decided it was best if Dean and I will marry in two days. This will ensure our rise to power and a moral boost before the army makes its way here. Apparently King Edward has a brain and tricked us. The army is a week away from arriving.
Today is the day before the wedding and I have been freaking out. At one point almost set the curtain in my room on fire. Being in this position made me feel like a character in a book (LOL) and I hated every moment of it.
On a brighter note I successfully lifted a ball of water up and threw it across the room. I also lifted some of the ground. I'll stick to fire and wind for this battle and learn more in the future. Dean this morning zoned out during breakfast, he saw the wedding and said it was beautiful. That eased my worry but, I wish mom and dad were here to see that day.
"What are you doing?" Dean asked as he walked over to me putting me in his shadow.
"I'm writing in my journal...now please move you are blocking the light love" I said.
He just grew a big grin, "You don't have a journal" he said.
"Fine, I'm documenting the last few days...just in case" I said.
"Oh don't start this Cinder, we all will make it" he said.
"I have bad feeling and I just want my mind in writing Dean!" I yelled before I let the tears out.
"Oh honey" he said picking me up.
"I know my mother's magic is leaving me" I said making him freeze.
"What are you talking about?" Dean asked.
"There is balance Dean, her magic and the coven's magic is slowly leaving me and it is what is keeping me alive" I said looking away.
"What!" he boomed.
"I can feel it, Helen and Linda don't know...or at least I think they don't" I said.
He put me down gently before storming out of the library and I sat down and began to write again.
~~~Dean~~~
I can't lose him again...not after I am about to marry him. I knew they were in the war room planning for tomorrow and for the battle in 5 days. I threw the doors open which scared all of them.
"Did you know what is happening to Cinder?!" I yelled at the two witches who stood up. Linda looked confused and Helen looked worried.
"What are you talking about? Helen asked walking to the edge of the table.
"You didn't know either?" I whispered.
"Dean, what is wrong with Cinder?" She demanded.
I felt tears building up as a sob escaped my throat, "He's...he's...he's dying" I cried out.
The room filled up with so much tension you could of cut it with a knife.
"What?" Helen said.
"His mother's magic is wearing off and the coven's magic is leaving after the battle" I said looking at the floor.
My heart felt like is was going to explode until I heard his voice.
"I love all of you" he said in the door way with tears in his eyes.
He quickly wiped them away before looking at me.
"You know 3 years ago I wished that you would save me from that place just so I could hear your laugh and see your smile...Thank you" he said walking up to me and I grabbed him and hugged him.
