Nagisa's POV
Today was like any other day since the first day he taught here. He walked into the dark and dirty classroom full of delinquents like there was nothing out of the ordinary. Of course, anyone else probably would have quit the first day, but he also knew that he wasn't like anyone else.
Walking into the classroom, the noise level, that was pretty high, completely stopped. He walked to his desk to set his stuff down but suddenly someone from under the desk launched at him with a pocket knife in hand. Nagisa quickly jumped backwards before kicking the knife out of the person's hand mid jump. Catching the knife after landing perfectly, he pointed it at the neck of the person before smirking.
"Good job, Tyoto! You almost managed to even surprise me there!" He said with an approving smile. Tyoto mumbled something before Nagisa handed back the knife and the kid went back to his seat. Nagisa then started class with role call and then started the lesson, while smiling the entire day. He loved this job, as it always reminded him of his favorite teacher.
Over the past few years he wasn't sure if he'd be able to take on the job of teaching like Koro-Sensei did, but after starting this year and somehow managing to motivate a whole class of delinquents to actually take school seriously, he thought maybe this was the right choice. Though he missed his former classmates, he hadn't contacted any of them since graduation day. Though he still thought of them from time to time. Especially of Karma.
Finally the school bell rang signaling the end of classes and everyone gathered their stuff before leaving. "Don't forget about the quiz on friday!" Nagisa called out to them before they left. Hearing the moans fill the class he chuckled before gathering up his stuff too. He sighed from exhaustion before slowly leaving the school building and headed home.
Driving home in his small black Toyota, his apartment came into view. He didn't have a big one, but it wasn't small either. He pulled into the parking lot and parked it before getting out. Arriving at his apartment on the third floor he pulled out his keys to unlock the door. When he turned the key he froze. Something was wrong. He decided to act like nothing was wrong but became alert as he turned the knob, Which seemed to already be unlocked, and opened the door.He walked in a few steps before he reached up for his knife that was hidden in his vest just as someone launched at him from the shadows. The intruder tried to pin him against the wall, but Nagisa was faster. barely dodging his grasp he pulled out the small knife and stabbed his arm.
"Gyaa-" He started to scream with pain before Nagisa covered his mouth to stop the scream, and releasing his mouth after he stopped screaming. Kicking the door closed and turned on the light, he faced the bleeding person on his floor. Before the guy could attempt to get up, he stepped on the knife still lodged into his arm so it now penetrated the floor board, earning a strangled sound from him. With the light on, Nagisa could see he was probably only a few years older then him and was probably just a hired junkie, considering that he didn't use a weapon and seems really weak.
'But why is he after me?' is what Nagisa wondered the most. He sighed before squatting down in front of the assassin and looked him in the eyes.
"Who sent you?" he asked sternly hoping he wouldn't have to torture him, since he was already tired enough. The male only held his stare defiantly. Sighing again, Nagisa pulled out another knife faster then the eye could see and stabbed his other arm, which held the other one. He screamed again. Nagisa sure was glad he decided to sound proof his walls as soon as he moved in. "I'll ask one more time, who sent you?!" He asked slightly harsher then last time. "And if you don't answer this time, then I have a whole cabinet of knives that need to be used" He commented. Seeing the fear in the male's eyes he internally smirked.
"Fine! I'll talk! Just please spare me!" He yelled desperately. 'Pitiful' Nagisa thought.
"You still haven't answered my question yet" He stated impatiently.
"W-wait! I don't know who they were that hired me!" Nagisa frowned suspiciously at him and leaned in.
"You wouldn't be lying to me, right?" he asked with a low voice.
"N-no, Im telling the truth. they hid in the shadows when giving us the target and even changed the voice for extra caution!" The assassin started to cry.
"Us" He stated. "As in more than one assassin" he mumbled glaring at the crying disgrace. "Do you at least know why they are after my life?" He already knew the answer though, but it didn't hurt to try.
"They wanted us to take you in alive, but use force if necessary! But that's all they said, I swear!" He frowned. They didn't want to kill him? Why alive then?
"I suppose that's all the information I can get out of you" sighing in defeat. 'This sucks so much!' he thought.
"D-does that mean you'll let me go now!" He asked all hopeful. 'how cute' Nagisa decided to give him a little hope.
"...Sure" He smiled innocently before taking the knives from the male's arms and helping him up, ignoring his painful sounds. He helped up the injured Junkie and beckoned him to the door, still appearing innocent and generous. The other guy smiled before turning towards the door and turning his back to the blunette, bad mistake.
"I actually didn't think you would let me go, but your nicer then I tho-!" He didn't even finish his sentence before Nagisa injected the two bloody knives deep into his back while glaring at the idiot now dead in front of him.
"And I didn't actually think you were stupid enough to fall for the oldest trick in the book, but I guess we learned something new everyday" Sighing he went to clean up the blood on the floor before it dried and stained.
It took quite a long time to clean up the mess and get rid of the body and cover his tracks. When it was all done, the clock read '9:42 p.m.' and Nagisa decided to take a shower and go to sleep. After collapsing onto his bed he quickly dozed off into dreamland, temporarily forgetting the problem til morning.
