      Light was shining in the rec room through the dingy windows. Chance sat with her back to the table while tapping her foot and her eyes stayed glued on the door. She was waiting...and waiting...and waiting and the wait was MADDENING!! But the question remained...what was that little blonde doll waiting for? Not even Chance knew...but whatever it was...it was important. It must be! She wouldn't just wait around...would she?

She was lost and waiting. It was almost like that day after the show when her parents left...they left her waiting. They left behind the child that took away their chance at "true happiness" as they always said. "Stop dwelling on the past." Jerome said as he sat next to her and took her hand. "Remember...smile." he said making her smile and play with his fingers. He leaned in and kissed her cheek making her look over but he...he wasn't there...it was a guard walking beside her down a hall. Chance looked ahead of her to see Jerome walking happily then he looked back at her and smiled. "You're hiding." he said as they stopped and she looked up to meet the gaze of a bald man with a beard and circular glasses with pink lenses. "Come in and have a seat." the man said as he opened the door, the person escorting her pushed her inside then closed the door behind her. "So you're Chance Todd...you caused a lot of trouble with Mr.Valeska." the man said as Jerome stood behind him and smiled. "It was only a joke. We made a lot of laughs." Chance said with a smile at the memories of her and Jerome. "Do you miss him?" the man asked causing Chance's sharp gaze immediately snap to him. "Of course I miss him! My J was a best a girl could get!" Chance said as she looked behind the man at Jerome who smiled and winked at her. "That's my girl." he said making Chance smile. Hugo tilted his head in confusion then looked behind him only to find nothing there. "Chance are you...are you seeing him right now?" He asked looking at her very seriously. "Lie." Jerome hissed in her ear. "No...I'm just remembering old times. You've done that right? ....just memories that make you smile as though they were happening right before your eyes." she said as she looked directly at Hugo. "Yes....so tell me, what was your relationship with him?" Hugo asked making a large smile spread across her face. "What do you think it was?" she asked as her sharp green eyes observed him. "I think he gave you whatever you wanted because you were useful to him." Hugo said as he looked directly at Chance who tensed slightly. "That and he loved me." she said as she folded her arms and looked away from him like a bratty child. "No I think you were just useful to him that's all...he didn't love you." Hugo said making Jerome glare at him. "Oh because you know me so well baldy!" Jerome growled only to turn and look at Chance then kneel in front of her. "Doll you know how I feel about you so don't listen to him." he said as he gently rubbed her leg making Chance smile a little and look at Hugo. "So tell me...who told you where I was...or what he was like to me?" Chance asked. The smile she wore unsettled Hugo slightly but he didn't show it. "Someone who wants you well again...your brother, Mark." he said making Jerome whip around. "I knew it! I knew it was that asshole!" Jerome growled as he threw a book across the room but Chance only nodded. "I see...well my brother is a liar and my brother is a liar and he never liked Jerome. He would do anything for me to be over him." Chance said as Jerome came up behind her and started rubbing her shoulders. "I see..do you believe you will ever get over him Ms.Todd?" Hugo asked as he watched the girl push her glasses up. "No, I won't ever get over him and I don't think that...I know it." she said without hesitation as she looked at the man before her. "And why do you think...I'm sorry...how do you know that?" he asked making her smile and sit back in her chair. "Because he made...no...makes me feel a way that no one ever has...and no one ever will." Chance said with a smile bit her lip slightly at the thought of Jerome making him smirk and glare at Hugo. "Hmm...I see. That will be all for today."

Ok so it's been a while and I'm really sorry with work and everything it's been really difficult to find time to actually sit down and type out everything I have written. On the upside though our ginger is back!!! 😆😆😆😆😆 I knew he was coming back and it was the longest wait EVER!!! I really want to thank you guys for reading and being patient with my updates because I keep trying to find time and something always happens but I'll try and update more often and keep on writing. Again I'm really sorry for the wait and I'm so unbelievably happy that this story is almost at 20k like seriously I didn't think anyone would like my story this much but I'm so glad you do and like I've said in other A/N's I love reading your comments they really do make my writing and updating worth it. Anyway I'll shut up because it's already like 4 in the morning so I should get some sleep.
