Chapter 59

LUCY'S POV

Why do things like this keep happening?
Why can't I control my actions properly?
What is this bracelet and why do I have it?
And why is Natsu still helping me after what I have done to him?

I looked up at Natsu as he held me in his arms.
He was running fast and he had a determined look on his face.
I tried to lift my hand up to his face but I was becoming weaker and I would barely keep my eyes open.
Is it because of this bracelet?
But why?
What is it doing? And why?

Before I had the chance to think about how I got it and what it was doing,  my mind slowly drifted off and everything turned black.

NATSU'S POV

Damn it!!!
Lucy has lost consciousness!
What is happening?  I'm so confused!
I can't wrap my head around everything that has happened today.
Lucy........ She said that she- loved me? 
But she doesn't believe I love her? 
Even after we.......kissed.....

I felt myself go red.
Now isn't the time to be thinking about those things! 
Lucy is in danger and it's because of this bracelet!!!!! 
I have to get her to the guild quickly.

I ran as fast as I could until I finally reached the guild.
As soon as I got there I kicked the guild doors open.

"QUICK LUCY IS IN DANGER!  GET ME THE MASTER,  WENDY AND LEVY!" I shouted impatiently. I just hope that everyone is still hear this late at night.

I saw everyone who was still at the guild look at me and then down at Lucy,  the worry in their faces as clear as Day.

"Natsu!  What has happened!? Explain everything to me!!!" Erza demanded.

I looked down at Lucy and I couldn't help but feel responsible for what is happening. I was worried. I haven't got any idea what was happening to her and that's what scares me the most.

"Don't worry Natsu,  I will look after Lucy for now,  I will take her to the infirmary and then I will go find levy and Wendy." Mira Said coming up to Lucy and I.

She turned into one of her devil forms and then took Lucy from my arms.
On instinct I grabbed into Lucy just as Mira took her.
Mira looked at me confused.

"Don't worry about her Natsu. She is in good hands." She assured me.

I nodded then let go of Lucy.
I watched worriedly as Mira walked away with her.

"Natsu?" Erza ask with a concerned tone.

"I'm fine." I told her while I continued to look in the direction Mira went. "I will tell you everything now."

Erza and I sat down at the bar as I explained everything that had happened.
I explained how Jeremy attacked Lucy and then we turned him into the council.
And how the bracelet that Lucy was wearing is causing her pain. I left out everything else that happened for obvious reasons.
Erza listened to me patiently while nodding her head in understanding.

"I can't believe it." Erza finally said after I finished explaining everything. "Jeremy... And the bracelet  on Lucy,  do you think they could be connected somehow? " Erza asked.

What?!  I didn't think about that....

Erza seemed to notice the surprise on my face then continued.

"Well how else could have this mysterious bracelet appear on Lucy?  And you can't get it off you say?"

"I tried,  but in the end it just caused Lucy more pain....." I said sadly.

Then suddenly the guild doors opened and a panicked levy and Wendy ran in along with master.

"What has happened to my child!?" Master asked. "Why do things like this always happen when I'm away at a meeting!?"

Levy and Wendy ran over to me as soon as they saw I was here.

"NATSU!!!!  Where is lu!?" Levy asked me.

"Mira took her to the infirmary,  let's go!" I told her as I stood up.

"Natsu." Erza stopped me.

I looked down at her confused.

"None of us know what the bracelet is doing to Lucy or what it is capable of,  so you must be cautious."

I nodded and then I quickly ran to the infirmary with the 2 girls and the master.

When we ran in side Lucy was still unconscious and she seemed to be in pain.
A worried Mira was tending to her,  putting wet cloth on her forehead.

The sight made the girls shocked and made my heart drop.

She is getting worse.

"Levy..... The bracelet on Lucy's wrist........none of us know what it is but that's the cause of her suffering. I need you do figure out what it is!!!!" I told her frantically.

Levy didn't say a word. She just nodded and went to Lucy's side.

"Oh lu.....you need to stop getting yourself into these situations..." levy hugged her tightly and then lifted her arm up. She started to study the the bracelet carefully.
She tried to pull it off  when it caused Lucy to cry out in pain.

Levy flinched and backed away.

"I think I've read something about a curse like this before. But I'm not too sure. I need to find the book!" levy ran out of the infirmary as fast as lightning and down to the library.  I hope she finds the book she needs soon.

I looked down at Lucy and went to her side where Mira, Master and Wendy were.

"Who did this to my child!?" Master said suddenly standing up and stomping out of the room.

"He is mad that he can't do anything for her." Mira said. I know how he feels,  but I can't think about that now.

I turned away from the door and looked at Wendy.

"Can you do anything for her?" I asked Wendy.

Wendy shook her head. "There isn't much I can do at all. The bracelet is blocking my powers. Not only that but Lucy seemed to be trying to fight the bracelets power. That's what is causing her agony." Wendy informed me.

What?!  She's fighting the bracelets power?!  Why?!  What is it trying to do?!  And why is Lucy fighting it!? 

"Lucy!!  You have to stop fighting it!!! " I shouted shaking her frantically.

"NATSU STOP IT!" Mira shouted pushing me away. "Lucy knows what she is doing. She wouldn't be fighting it if it wasn't for a good reason. You should know that!!"

Mira's right...but Lucy is in pain....i can't just sit here and do nothing!!!! 

I heard the door to the infirmary swing open suddenly.

"I found it!!!!!  I found the book!!!  Levy puffed.

She found it!
