Ava blinked away tears as she stared at a frame of her family.
Mom and Dad..."Ava, its okay." She told herself, pushing the memories back.
Opening her closet she stared at it, it had changed so much.
Ava pulled on her usual big oversized sweater, and black leggings with her boots. Leaving her dark brown locks to cascade down her back. To finish her look she added her black eyeglasses.
Looking at herself in the mirror she didn't see Ava Dyson anymore.
She saw another girl looking back at her, with sad eyes.
Checking the time she quickly ran downstairs grabbing her bag.
"Bye Mom" Ava waved goodbye, pecking her in the cheek.
Her mother had improved greatly in the last few years. After her father died, her mom had turned into a alcoholic. But one morning she almost died, from drinking so much. Her mother had promised she'd never drink again, after going to rehab.
Her mom was now happily living life, with her friends and family.
Her mother also thought Ava was happy too... Of course, keyword thought.
Rushing out the door, Ava popped a couple pieces of gum in her mouth just in case if she had bad breath.
Her best friend, Savannah was waiting in her car.
"AVA!!!! GUESS WHAT!!" Savannah yelled the second Ava stepped into the car.
"Ana? You good?" Ava asked. When they were younger, they always wanted similar names. So they changed Savannah to Ana. Then they became, Ava and Ana.
"Well..." Ana trailed off for a second. "Um.... Actually I forget so, how's your day?"
"My day? It hasn't really started." Ava rolled her eyes.
"Uh, yes it did! It literally started the second you woke up! The millisecond you woke up! The nanosecond! The... Something second!" She exclaimed.
"Okay well my day is fine. How about you?" Ava then held up a hand, "Wait no, my day is going horrible!"
Ana looked at her for a second, then handed her a cupcake. "You good now?" She said knowingly.
"Hmf? I'm greaf!" Ava mumbled her mouth full.
They arrived at school, Ava tiredly dragged herself out of the car. Then something attacked her.
"AHHH! What are you doing?" She asked as her other best friend, Leo hugged her lifting her up slightly, knocking her glasses to the side.
"Huh? I'm just giving my best friend a hug!" He smiled cheekily.
"Both of my friends greet me in strange ways, scream in my face or attack me." Ava raised an eyebrow slowly shaking her head while laughing.
"Yet you still love us!" Both of them said in unison.
"True... Sad, but true."
The trio headed inside the double doors splitting as they left for there classes.

Ava sat on her chair as she pulled out her books.
She then did her work, slowly dying of boredom.
"Huh? I wonder what would happen if I had a house full of... Chocolate! Yum" Ava thought, licking her lips.
Something poked her in her arm.
Ignoring it she continued her work.
Again.
And again.
Guess what? Again.
"What do you want?" She spun around meeting ice blue eyes. She trailed off staring at his face. "Uh, hi?"
"I was going to ask if I can borrow a pencil..." He asked, smirking slightly.
She groaned, pulling our a pencil. "Here, give it back."
"For sure!" He replied cheerfully.
Turning back around she felt another poke a few seconds later.
Ava glared at him.
"Can I borrow a paper too."
"Fine"
She passed him a paper, sighing.
A couple minutes later she felt another poke. "I will-"
"Ms. Dyson, if you turn around to talk to Mr. Grayson one more time, your getting detention!" Her teacher yelled at Ava.
Ava looked at him, giving her death glare. People had died from receiving the death glare.
Okay not really.
He smiled, not meeting her eyes.
Ava sighed and turned around.
A poke.
"IF YOU POKE ME ONE LAST-" Ava trailed off.
The whole class turned to Ava.
He smirked.
"Oh whatever." Rolling her eyes she got up, leaving the class.
"She talks?"
"She smiles?"
"She has emotions?"
"Damn those boots though."
