Finally! Here, take it!

(Your POV)

*Yang swings her leg around*

You:"Dang. That was a close one."

Yang:"Don't worry the next one is gonna hit you."

Me and Yang were fighting outside her home. Ruby and her dog were watching us, eating the leftover breakfast. I really didn't get a chance to eat since Yang abruptly swung at me while sitting at the kitchen table. I'm just glad she didn't break anything. At least I was able to get outside before anything got destroyed.

She rushed at me swinging her fists at me. She was really fast and I remembered how it felt to get hit by her so I did my best to avoid that experience again. After her fury of attack she stopped to catch her breath.

Yang: "Come on. Quit dodging. Block for once."

You: "Hey I like being light on my feet. I much rather evade an attack then try to absorb one."

Yang chuckled for some reason.

Yang: "Funny cause I actually disagree with that entirely. Being able to take and attack and get back up shows will. At some point or another, your gonna have to attack me, and when you do I will demonstrate."

Even thought I disagreed with her philosophy on defense, she was right. I have been dodging this entire battle with no attempt to attack. I just need to wait though.

She rushed at me again swinging her fists in a similar manner to last time. I waited for my opportunity, and when she swung at my arm I grabbed her hand and clocked her with the other. it was my turn to go on the offensive. I hit her in the gut and then swept her leg causing her to fall to the grass.

(Ruby's POV)

Ruby: (in head) "This weird. When Yang fights she keeps up the pressure on her opponent. She doesn't give them any time to think. But the way she is fighting now is totally different. She's taking pauses in between bouts. She must be thinking hard about this."

I saw F/n evade plenty of her attacks just for him to counter at the last second. He was doing good, but knowing my sister, she would always figure a way out of these situations.

(Your POV)

Man, I haven't fought someone else in years. Grim are one thing but a actual skilled fighter is another.

You: "I hope I'm giving you a good workout."

Yang: "You sure are. I really needed this training. But don't think you're going to win this."

You: *chuckle* "We will see about that."

I was getting tired out and I could see the same in Yang. I figured I would give it my all and try to end this soon. I rushed forward, my hand filled with as much force I could gather and I hit her dead center in the forehead. She didn't move. He lilac eyes changed and turned a bold shade of red. I was a bit startled but I managed to see her devilish grin she had been fighting with this entire time, turn into a straight face that was unphased.

You: "Oh shit."

She was in close range so it didn't take much effort from her to hit me where it hurt. My chest was getting ripped apart by punch after punch I felt my consciousness start to drift away, but I couldn't let her. All I had to do was figure out her rhythm. I closed my eyes and counted until I picked up her pattern. I put all my strength into catching one of her fists in her hand. The earth shook and we both stopped dead in our tracks. There was nothing. No birds chirping, no crashing of the ocean waves, it was just me and her. I had lost too much energy and I finally fell to my knees. I mustered enough energy to look up at her. I noticed her eyes turned back to their original lilac color.

Yang: "Well. . .  I guess I win."

You: "Yeah. I guess you do."

Yang blushed a little bit before speaking again.

Yang: "Can you let go of my hand now?"

I realized that I still had yangs hand in mine, but instead of a fist, my hand was cupping hers. She pulled me off the ground and I let go of her hand. Needless to say, we were both embarrassed. Ruby yelled from the house.

Ruby: "Aw, you to are sooooo cute!"

I looked back at Yang when I realized what she meant. Yang wasn't blushing though, she was giggling.

Yang: "She is right. You do kinda make it obvious."

At first I was a bit internally startled, but I think I was able to keep my cool.

You: "Aw man really, what gave it away?"

Yang: "The cooking, your hesitation when fighting me, at least at the beginning."

She rubbed her stomach in reference.

You: "Sorry."

Yang: "Don't be, I like a guy who can hit hard *Wink*."
She walked back to the deck of the house and picked up a towel and wiped the sweat off of her face.

Yang: "The way you look at me really gave it away."

Her last comment really caught me off guard, but for some reason I was glad she was talking to me about this. I think she is a person I can joke around with a bit.

You: "In the future I will try keep my flirting more subtle."

She laughed.
