-------------------------------------------------------------☯Mikaela's POV☯
I held Yuu-chan in my arms as he cried. I knew he had to have been through a lot, but I couldn't imagine what had made him so afraid and scared. He acts tough sometimes, but the way he flinches and jumps at the raise of a voice, or the sudden movement of a hand, leads me to believe something else is going on. Yuu-chan... Who hurt you?
I felt his warmth start to leave me and I looked down at him. He wiped his eyes and looked down at the floor, feeling a bit embarrassed I assumed. "S-sorry..." He said in timid voice.
"It's ok Yuu-chan. Don't worry about it. I'm here for you if you need me. That's what friends are for, right?"
He looked up at me and smiled. A sweet, sweet smile. "We're friends? You consider me a friend?" His voice was filled with nothing but happiness. That happiness that filled his voice caught me by surprise. I nodded my head and he hugged me again. He was happy, so very happy to have another friend.
His happy smile made me smile. I, who am always cold and never smiling, smiled because of Yuu-chan. It's so unfair Yuu-chan... You're so unfair...
He let me go smiling still. "We should go back. Yoichi is probably worried about us." I nodded my head and we began our walk back to the cafeteria.
"Yuu-chan?"
"Hm?" He hummed a response.
"You don't have lunch?"
He stopped walking. "I don't eat lunch. I don't have time to pack anything in the mornings and my mom doesn't trust me with her money. So, I don't get lunch." He looked down at his feet ashamed.
I stopped walking and stopped in front of him. "Yuu-chan?" He looked up at me. "How about I bring you lunch? I make my own at home."
He simply stared at me. "I-I can't let you do that! It's just missing one meal! I'll live Mi-!" He denied it so forcefully, but was silenced when my finger touched his lips.
"Nope. It's no problem at all. Starting tomorrow I'm bringing you lunch and you can't stop me." He blushed a bit and nodded his head, giving in because he knows I'm serious. It's only been a day and yet I feel like I've known him for years. I'm closer to Yuu-chan than I am to anyone else. Not even my mother and me are so close.
We began walking back to the table. Yoichi was sitting there with more people next to him. One I immediately recognized, and I had to control myself before I ripped his head off.
"Yuu-kun! Mika-kun! Welcome back!" I heard Yoichi call and he waved at us as we walked closer. I wanted to be alone with Yuu-chan so we could get caught up, but even I realized that it's now impossible with Yoichi and his friends around. I sat back down in my seat giving Kimizuki a sharp glare. He ignored me and looked out the windows bored.
Yuu-chan sat down next to me. "Stupid telephone pole..." I heard him mutter quietly. I started laughing and he looked at me embarrassed because I heard him. He didn't think I'd hear him.
The cafeteria got quiet at the sound of my laughter. I'm quite popular, but I'm known for showing no emotions, except with that bastard Ferid when he makes me angry. Yoichi and his friends stared at me in a mixture of shock, confusion, and awe. Yuu-chan was used to me showing emotion, but to the others this was something very new.
