Chapter 2

Riley and Maya were walking into school after getting off the subway. They went straight to there lockers and got there stuff for history class. Which Riley's dad teaches. When they got into history class they took there seats in the front row next to each other with Farkle sitting behind Maya and sitting across from Riley. Mr. Matthews started teaching about how everyone knows everyone when......the boy from the subway burst through the door and said "Sorry for interrupting ,but I'm new here. My name is Lucas Friar. I'm suppose to be in your class right now." Mr.Matthews stared at him and said "Welcome to my class Mr.Friar come sit behind Riley here." So Lucas came and sat behind me and I turned around and said "Hi" and he said "Hi" back and then my dad joined in and said "hey now if you don't mind turning around Riley and listening to the lesson for today. That would be great." So I did what he said and sat there and listened. At the end of the class almost he assigned homework with partners and he chose them. He chose Maya, farkle and me, Lucas as partners and I turned around and said "you want to work at my house or yours?" And he made me so happy when he said" mine. If you want?" And I shook my head yes ,but in my head I was screaming yes.

After school I went to my dads classroom to tell him that I'm going to Lucas's house for our project. I knocked on my dads classroom door and I heard him yell "Come in" so I went in and looked him in the eyes and told him as straight as I could which wasn't that straight. I said "d-daddy I'm going to L-Lucas's house for our project" my dad turned around and said "okay , just be home in time to take a shower and stuff." I shook my head and went out the door to find Lucas. When I was walking down the hallway to find him someone pushed me against the lockers and I didn't know who it was until I opened my eyes and saw Missy Bradford. She came down by my fave and said " Stay away from Lucas. He's mine and I'll do whatever it takes to get to him" I nodded my head in fear. And she walked away. I got up scared and went to the ladies room and got cleaned up and started heading to go find Lucas. When I found Lucas he was by my locker waiting for me ,so I went up to him and smiled and he smiled back. He backed away from my locker ,so I could get in my locker and get my stuff for his house which I did and I was ready to go and than my phone went off from someone texting me and I grabbed my phone and checked you texted me and it was Missy. She texted me "Stay away from Lucas or I'll hurt you in so many ways." I just ignored her and started walking with Lucas to his house which wasn't that far away from the school or my house which was good. When we got to Lucas house he opened up his door and said "my parents are out. They won't be back for awhile, sorry." I said "it's okay. So where do you want to work?" He showed me his room and said we should work in here more quite and enough so we can get to know each other more. I said "okay makes sense so what you want to do first?" And he said let's talk about each other and find out more about each other." I nodded with a agreement and we started talking. It was getting really late and I had to be home in time to do stuff so I told Lucas and he said "I'll walk you home." I said sure but I told him will take the fire exit to get to my room he agreed. We were in my room now and he was about to leave when he came up to me and gave me a hug. I was surprised ,but I still hugged him back. We waved bye to each other and he said he would text me later since it was a Friday so no school for the weekend.
