My boyfriend is alien. He can be slightly shy sometimes but that's because he doesn't have any human friends but me. I found him around five years ago at the age of eleven. His space ship had crashed and he was lying motionless and alone so I took him in. My sister just sees him as a rock and she thought I was foolish to fall in love with him. But he has feelings like a human would and I love him to much to take notice of what others say. He told me that the government had tried to kidnap him for experiments. I told him I'd keep him safe. I'd never let anyone hurt him.
"Ross! Hey it's so nice to see you again!" Ross is the name of my alien boyfriend. I hadn't seen him in ages because he was searching for space ship parts in Berlin but to no avail.
Ross sat there and didn't move a muscle or say a word.
"Ross? You hungry? I got you a chocolate bar. Do you want it?"
The alien still didn't even turn round. I could only see his dusty, brick red hair flow shortly down his back. I sighed. This was so typical of him. I didn't even know why he did it. Was it for attention? Was it because he was scared? Did he just not feel like talking to me?
"Fine. I'll leave you alone." I calmly gave up.
Just then, my older sister came into the room with the same terrified expression that she always has glued on her face.
"We're going away. Me, you and mum." she announced with a stern cautiousness about her voice.
"Where?" I asked her. Trying to sound as noisy as I possibly could.
"Anywhere! Just, away..." Her voiced trailed off as if she was thinking and talking at the same time.
"Ok!" I cheered "Just let me get my stuff."
"NO TIME!" She insisted and yanked my arm with as much force as she could. "Sorry" she mumbled but didn't losen her grip.
"I can't leave Ross! I love him!" I cried, my eyes bubbling and my forced smile fading.
"Look, I'm sorry I have to tell you this but Ross isn't real. He's just some stupid rock you found." She grumbled, yanking my arm with more fustration. I stopped crying and just looked in the direction of Ross. He was looking our way now.
"Ross! Follow us where ever we go." I shouted in a hushed voice directed at Ross. "I don't want to lose you."
He nodding, got up and started walking our way.
This wasn't the first time my sister had just come and told me we were leaving and it wouldn't be the last. She did it because my mum couldn't talk. Mum could only speak to my sister, then she did the talking.
I said a quick goodbye to the house I had stayed in and followed my sister out with Ross walking beside me and my mum trailing behind.
I gripped tightly to Ross's hand. He was the only comfort I had when we left. He made me sure that eventually, we would find somewhere, anywhere, to stay forever.
