As Slender explained it to you after you had gotten over the initial shock of there being others living in this mansion besides the creepy mask-wearing doctor, there had been more inhabitants at one point but many of them had aged or found their own independent abodes. The current residents included only Slender himself, his three brothers, and a dog – Smile Dog, to be specific, though you could not understand how a normal dog could smile. There were also at one point three Proxies – humans, who as Slender explained, acted as his go betweens in the human world when he could not directly influence matters himself for fear of discovery. They had however not been granted immortality as the creepypasta myths themselves had like this Jeff the Killer of Eyeless Jack, and had aged to the point where they could no longer be of service to Slenderman. It seemed harsh to simply cut people out of your life like that, but then again, you were also dealing with a cold-blooded murderer as your new patron.
"Beware my brother in the fedora," Slenderman whispered in your ear as you approached the living room you had not known existed before now. "He will try to flatter you into complacency, but you must not let that happen." His voice tickled in your ear although he could not exhale while speaking, and the sensation was strangely pleasant. Since your visit to the creepypasta doctor yesterday, you had come to understand far more about this other world nestled within the hidden reaches of Earth ruled by demons and nightmares, including the meaning of the word "creepypasta." The origin still did not make sense to you – you had to agree with Slender that humans had very strange ways of labeling the unknown – but nevertheless you felt far more relaxed around the tall man now than you had twenty-four hours prior. It might have been your imagination, but Slender also seemed more outgoing towards you as well, and not near so demanding or dominant.
You nodded your head in acknowledgement before following Slender's tall form into the living room. You squeaked in surprise as pale white heads turned towards you, each with varying degrees of a face on the front. You immediately marked the one in the fedora as Slender had cautioned you, positioning yourself behind your protector and as far away as possible from the brother in the trenchcoat.
"Brother! What is the disgrace that human is wearing, and why have you brought her here dressed in so unbecoming a manner?" Exclaimed the one furthest to the left and closest you your semi-cowering form. It – he, you reminded yourself – was equally as faceless as his brother, but sported a pair of fashionable and probably expensive rectangular glasses over where his eye sockets would have been. He was clad in a white dress shirt much like Slender, but wore instead over it a brown sweater vest and pair of khaki trousers, topped (or bottomed) with brown dress loafers.
"I think that this damsel looks positively ravishing in one of brother's shirts~" cooed the fedora figure who you had up until this point been intentionally and obviously ignoring. Aside from the fedora, he honestly wasn't wearing much: just a pair of grey trousers and dress boots under an open grey trenchcoat. His chest was left bare, exposing a musculature that made you blush from behind Slender's body. "I think, however, that you'd look even more ravishing without-"
"That's enough, Smelly," chimed in the final brother, who, unlike his siblings, actually had a face; such as it was. Two black dots served as his eyes, and his mouth seemed to be permanently fixed in a cheerful smile that, also unlike his brothers, looked uplifting and not dangerous. "Stop being so vulgar, you'll scare her away before we're even introduced."
"I don't need to be introduced for what I had in mind~" The one in the fedora shot back with a smirk, revealing a mouth full of pointed teeth. This last declaration was met with a thwack and a jingle, for one of the polka-dot suited brother's tentacles had hit the fedora over the head. Curiously, unlike Slender's black tentacles which were free of decoration, these were adorned with tiny golden bells that jingled whenever the tentacle moved. You found it very hard to believe that this outgoing, jubilant individual could actually be related to the cold and brooding Slenderman you had come to know.
