The key turned in the bedroom lock with a soft snick, and moments later the bookshelf was replaced to conceal the hidden room. None of his inhabitants or even frequent visitors knew about his true abode – and now the prison cell of the human (Y/N). She intrigued the tall, faceless man – her demeanor was far different than anything he had experienced. BEN and Jeff were nothing to judge the human race by, but even the more mature members of his flock like Dr. Smiley exhibited less control over themselves than this new mortal had. Perhaps it had something to do with her career as an actress, a fact that he had found while probing her slumbering mind looking for clues of Zalgo's interest. He had found nothing on that part, unfortunately; he would have to extract the information forcibly. Of course, she had been frightened at first; but the caution he noted in her every move, her unwillingness to submit to his overwhelming personality and dominance was something that Slender found strangely... attractive.
As he turned around, Slender was met with a tall, black figure leaned against his beautiful oak desk with a calculating look on its face. Its skin was filled with tiny dots of white shining against the darkness like tiny stars, creating the illusion that what stood before him now was a creature made from starstuff. "We need to talk." Came the scratchy voice from a mouth that did not get much use.
"Hello, Observer. One generally considers it polite to knock before letting yourself in," commented Slenderman tartly. Observer's visits didn't bother him as much as Zalgo's, but the starry man had always favored Zalgo in matters of territory and power division, so the two hadn't exactly been on the best of terms either.
"I was in a hurry." Was Observer's curt reply.
"Well then, I apologize for keeping you waiting." Slenderman replied equally cordially. Inside, anger began to stir at the thought that although he had worked hard for centuries to conceal that room, it's existence was revealed because of a careless chance meeting. He should have been more alter, more prepared.
"It is about (Y/N). Oh, don't try to pretend that she is not there behind that bookshelf. It is my job to see everything, all the hidden secrets no one wants exposed." He gave a low chuckle at the surprised look on slenderman's appendage-less face. "Don't worry. Zalgo will not find out unless you choose to reveal the information. But after you hear what I have to say, you might consider doing just that."
"Just get to the point, Observer." Slender replied in exasperation, slouching into his swivel chair that had been pushed conveniently across the room to his current position. "I am extremely tired from today's events."
"I know why Zalgo is so interested in (Y/N)!" Crowed the observer with a grin.
"Oh really? And I suppose you've come to gloat over the fact that you have more information on that subject than I?" Commented Slenderman tartly.
"I already possess far more information than you could ever dream of cataloguing in that history collection of yours or in your admittedly formidable mind. No, I have come to share this information with you as an...impartial...third party. What I have to say may determine the fate of our respective worlds depending on how you use it."
"Say I believe that this isn't another of Zalgo's ill-conceived plots to lessen my influence once again. What, in that case, would be the information you have?"
"Simply this: You will not be able to wrest any information from (Y/N) herself about this matter, as she is completely ignorant of her own important role. Nor will you be able to find anything physically different in her from any other humans. In short, your efforts to thwart Zalgo's plans are futile."
