So the first couple of parts, I have pre-written and I am uploading as I finish a bit of proofing. My Goal is to upload sections in approximately 2,000 word chunks. Thus there will be a flurry of posts at first, and then I hope to add sections bi-weekly as work and school and writing allow.

Dr. Hollowell had been watching Keeva closely, her fever had been climbing steadily and her body had been wracked by spasms. Then as if someone had flipped a switch, Keeva's fever broke, and her body completely relaxed. Mr. Hollowell scrambled out of the chair unable to believe his eyes. He then called Nurse Taylor to give Keeva a sponge bath and change her gown and sheets, all of which were sweat soaked. Joni and Tate came and knocked on the door frame, having heard the buzzer in the nurse's station. "Her fever finally broke." Joni and Tate breathed a sigh of relief at their father's words. "Now, everyone get some rest, the monitors will alert us if anything else changes tonight."

Once again Keeva dreamed of the glade, and Aléthés. "Keeva. Keeva, rise, for there is much that we need to discuss before you return to your time."

Keeva paused, "Return to my time?"

"Yes, while your body was fighting injury, your spirit was also fighting here."

Keeva struggled to sit up and lean against the tree, but she was still too weak. Aléthés walked over, helped her up, and handed her a bowl of soup. Aléthés gave Keeva time to eat, and then began to explain. "Along the way, you will meet friend and foe, you will win and lose, but there is one thing that will never change. No matter how hard the battle, or how lonely you feel, there will always be someone fighting alongside. You may not ever see them, but they will be there."

"So you are saying that I will receive both physical help and spiritual help, as I journey to your father's house?"

"Yes, now it is time for you to return, for you have slept for far too long." Aléthés took the bowl of soup, and once again kissed Keeva's forehead. Keeva fell asleep, only to rouse to a hand holding her wrist.

Mr. Hollowell felt Keeva's pulse race and looked up toward her face. He watched her expression change from fear, to confusion as Keeva closed her eyes and took several deep breaths. When Keeva opened her eyes for a second time, her pulse had returned to normal.

"I am Dr. Hollowell, please, tell me your name child."

"Keeva, sir, Keeva Heartridge."

"Tell me Keeva, what is the last event that you remember."

"Well, sir, I was walking home, and I fell down the hill above my house. I guess I hit my head, because I remember waking up when the sky was just starting to get light. I crawled inside the house, ate some fruit, and fell asleep. Please, sir where am I?"

"You are in the clinic."

"No disrespect meant sir, but this does not look like a clinic, and you do not look like a regular clinic doctor sir."

Mr. Hollowell smiled. "You picked up on that very quickly. This is a private clinic, and I am a private physician," he watched Keeva's face crumple with dismay, "and the bills are covered by an endowment fund, so you will not pay for so much as a penny's worth of care while you are recovering. Now, you have two guests who have been waiting for quite some time to see you. Joni, Tate you may come in now."
