Soldier loved his pride as well as the country he was born in but not as much as he loved you, his Lady Liberty. He called you that because you were just as beautiful as the statue herself and you gave him the freedom to feel love and be loved.
His kisses and his kind words made your spine tingle and your heart flutter with so much love and joy that you began to see a whole different side of him. The other men said that he was barbaric, tough, and down right rude but you didn't see him that way at least not anymore.
Yes at first you were pretty nervous around Soldier, but after a while he began to open up to you as a whole new person that only you got the pleasure of seeing. Soldier was actually one of the most sweetest and most romantic men that you had ever met in your life. He would take you to the park for picnics, walk along the trails through the forest, hell he'd even let you feed the ducks breadcrumbs if you got the chance.
You and Soldier have been together for about six months now and it was close to your anniversary. Soldier wanted to take you somewhere special that would make the date unforgettable. He secretly got you both plain tickets to New York City so you could go see the Statue of Liberty herself. You squealed in excitement not only because you'd be with your boyfriend, but you'd be in the big apple!
The entire plane ride consisted of you hugging Soldiers arm tightly while rambling on and on about what New York would be like. He just smiled at you and listened to you talk.
As the plane arrived, you both got yourselves a hotel room and soon set off to explore the city. Soldier decided to wait until nightfall to take you to the statue so the city lights could shine on the water and illuminate the green lady. You felt like a child in a candy store. There were so many restaurants, shops, tours, and other amazing things to do that you couldn't decide on something to do.
You held Soldiers hand tightly to prevent you getting lost while he pointed out all the major things he saw along the way like American flags or other America related things. You just laughed at his adorable obsession with his county. To be honest you fount it quite adorable.
Night time was rolling around and the ferry that swims out to the statue would be leaving shorty so you and Soldier both had to wolf down your dinner in order to catch it. You both finally made it to the boat just in time. The cool, salty, night air felt great against your (S/C) skin and in your (H/L), (H/C) hair. Soldier stood next to you and puffed out his chest a little bit as the boat drew closer to the lady. You looked up at him, your (E/C) eyes shone brightly from the lights of the city reflecting off the water.
"I bet you feel pretty proud to see her in person don't you? I have to say she is incredible."
"Indeed she is (Y/N), but you'll always be my number one Lady Liberty, now and forever."
You blushed and leaned your head gently on his broad shoulder as you both enjoyed the rest of the night, meeting Lady Liberty in the flesh was certainly a night you would never ever forget.
(Holy shit this felt more like a story than a one shot 0-0, I apologize for that but the longer the better right? Lol)
