(Third POV)

The two scrappers glared at each other in a visual fight for dominance, waiting to see who would give up first. Juuzou was in a crouched position while Abby stared down at him, fists clenched.

Abby suddenly shifted her body and went for a kick to his head.

"STOP STARING!!" she yelled.

Juuzou's red eyes widened in surprise and he avoided the kick by swiftly rolling to the ground towards his right. Abby's foot missed him by a few inches and before her brain could process what happened, Juuzou immediately regained his balance in a bend down position.

Without hesitating, he maneuvered a circular movement of his leg to kick her ankle, making her lose her balance and fall.

Abby's back hit the ground with a heavy impact. She coughed and urged to roll to her side to get up on her bleeding knees, but Juuzou reached to her. He caught her with small, but strong hands. He pulled Abby back down and immobilized her in a lying position by sitting on his knees on her.

"Gotcha~" he proudly exclaimed.

"Get off," --cough, cough--"I can't breathe..." she articulated angrily. His knees were crushing down her sternum.

She desperately tried to push him aside, her nails leaving red marks on his pale skin, but he didn't budge.

He may be slim, but for god's sake, he's so heavy.

"Let's play a game, Abby-chan," he offered innocently.

(Abby's POV)

I said nothing. The fact that he was sitting on me made me extremely uncomfortable and I still struggled to breathe, but I couldn't help myself to scrutinized his face.

"...If I agree... will you ...get off?" I managed to ask.

"Hm-hm," he agreed with a teasing smile.

I thought about my options for a moment. If I played along I would finally be freed, but I didn't know the risks that might be implied if I played his games.

"W-what kind of game?" I seek out.

He contemplated the question, probably trying to find the perfect game, and after a while, his face lightened up.

"What about hide and seek?" he proposed with a bright smile.

"Huh?? No fair! I don't even know this place!" I protested. "I wouldn't know where to hide!"

"Too bad," Rei replied, sticking his tongue out, "20...19...18..."

I pushed him aside -and this time I succeeded, but only because he let me- and ran out of the cell without losing any second.

Faster. I had to run faster. My heart pounded achingly hard on my chest and my legs felt numb. I was exhausted, but fear kept me going on.

At some point, I had realized that this game of hide and seek had turned into a sick scrapper hunt. And I was the prey.

I was running down a sinister corridor that seemed interminable. The only light that allowed me to see where I was running was the weak sun rays from the outside. Judging from the lightning, I guessed that it wouldn't be long until the sun set, especially since it was fall, the time of the year when the sun goes to sleep earlier.
My footsteps resonated heavily against the floor covered in carpet. The hallway abruptly bifurcated towards the right and I continued running, totally out of breath.

"A-ha! I can hear your footsteps!!" I heard Juuzou sing. His voice resonated through the house and sent shivers down my spine. I deduced* from where his voice seemed to come that he was one floor under me.

A small chuckle of excitement escaped my lips, soon turning into a maniacal laugh. The adrenaline running through my veins gave me a boost and I accelerated.

I saw a wooden door and tested the doorknob. Relief filled me when I saw that it wasn't locked, and I promptly opened it and rushed into the room.

I couldn't help but gasp at the portentous sight. It was a vast living room, decorated with fancy rustic furniture. There was an imposing cabinet, couches with cushions, a large fireplace, a small table and many other pieces of furniture of which I did not even know the name. The multiple windows were large and decorated with heavy burgundy curtains. The light peeking through the curtains gave the room an eerie atmosphere.

I tossed the curtains aside and was not really surprised when I saw that the windows were protected by thick metal bars, preventing anyone from escaping by jumping out the window.

My eyes suddenly shifted towards the door when I heard a creaking noise. My eyes widened and I gasped when the realization hit me that Rei must have been closer than I first thought and that I had no other option than to hide in this room. I didn't want to go back in the corridor and risking that he might see me. By entering this room, I had basically trapped myself.

"Crap..." I whispered to myself, frantically looking around the room for a place to hide. My hands began to shake. Thoughts crossed my mind at light speed as I desperately tried to think of a solution.

Behind the curtains was way too obvious, and it made no doubts that Rei would notice me if I hid under the table or behind the couch. I felt panic building up inside of me. I needed to find a place to hide. I needed it now.

A door creaked open.

My heart stopped.
