Cody's POV

"Cody, mum wants you." Alli came in. I could only look at her and feel disappointed. She use to have beautiful blonde hair with blue eyes, but she fell into the societys ways. Now she has light blue hair and light green eyes with tattoos all over her body.
"I'm coming." I sighed. Alli shut my door and I just stared out my window. The sun was gone and all i could see was the flying car lights. I walked out of my room and went down stairs.
"Yes mum?" I asked. My mom was sitting on the rounded couch with her hologram.
"Cody, we need to talk." My mom turned off her hologram and looked at me.
"About what?"
"You're almost 18."
Yep, it was that talk.
"I know mom, i-"
"Are you even close to finding her?" She cut me off. I knew she was going to ask that.
"No, I'm not." I sighed.
"Cody, you're suppose to figure this out!" She said as if I was stupid.
"Mom, this world is huge. The girl I am suppose to marry could be anywhere! I'm not ready to marry some one! What if I want true love?!" I shouted.
"Well too bad Cody! True love is NOT real!" My mom spat. I wanted to just yell but I stayed quiet. Both of us stayed quiet.
"Cody, you really need to find your future wife." My mom said and walked out. I cringed at her words. My birthday is only 3 months aways. My mom could never shut up about it.
"Well, I'm leaving." Alli said as she grabbed her hover board.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"A party, wanna come?" She asked as she applied neon pink lipstick.
"No." I shock my head and went back to my room. I've tried stopping her before, but she didn't listen. My parents told her it was fine. "She's almost 16." they would always say. But this is going to ruin her life. I walked past my younger brothers room and saw him playing a video game. His spiked green hair was noticeable from miles away. I shook my head and went to my room. I closed my door and stared at the mirror on the wall. I was probably the only teen with natural blonde hair and natural blue eyes. I wasn't for the fake stuff. Sure some looked good with it, but I wasn't for it. I clinched my jaw as I thought of my mom's conversation. I learned back in school how the world use to be, there was love. No necklace to tell you what to do. I wanted that.
I looked at my necklace and watched it turn a deep blue on the corner, meaning "My future spouse" is feeling down. If I only knew who she was.
