Introduction

Three years ago, my dearly loved mother was diagnosis with cancer; I felt as if my world has vanishing before my eyes. My mother was always my friend and my prayer partner. One day as I was driving to the hospital, see her in after the doctor gave her his final prognosis. That broke my heart. Just to think I was going to lose my prayer partner and friend. Therefore, I began to pray on my two-hour drive to the hospital. In that same hour, the Holy Spirit began to comfort me. He said think about your 49 years great years you have had. I thought to myself what a great opportunity I have had. I felt so very privileged at the very moment.

Then I begin to think about my dad who died 7 years prior. In my teachings, I would often use my father's carpentry skills as an analogy. When my father approached a job, He would add up the cost before he would quote a potential price or even think about starting a project. He would measure out the entire project first, and then he would go and price the supplies for the project. I gained great insight from him. He taught me a lot. Through his everyday life and the way, he approached his projects. My father was also a farmer. He would cultivate the grounds to prepare them for planting. Then he would go back, fertilize, and water the grounds before he would plant anything. Then days later, he would then select what type of vegetable he wanted to plant. He would go out every day and check on the process of his labor. He was meticulous as the preparations and the procedure of farming.

My life lesson from my years growing up on farm with my father, I learned that in order to be successful farmer. There is a process. The process entails you must first have a vision of what you want. Then you must put the plan in action. Action includes writing the vision and making it plan. If the vision is relevant to you, you will commit to the long process and preparation.

My mother on the other hand was a master teacher in her own rights. She reminded me of my father's most used tool from his toolbox his measuring tape. A measuring tape one of the smallest tool in the toolbox but it has a great significance. You see before my father could add up the cost. He needed to know much used supplies he would need. The very relevant and reliable measuring tape it was used to map out the dimensions, width, and the depth of each project. My mom taught me that it's okay to be me and that I was special. She taught me to be confident, she taught me to be strong yet gentle. She taught me to respect others and myself. She taught me how to care for and how to nurture my family and others because; God sent them life for purpose and with purpose.

Many years ago, God inspired me to write books. Over the years, I wrote from time to time. The last visit with my mother before she passed away, she said to me "I will not here to celebrate with you when you complete your first book. However, I am very confident that you will write many books because it part of your ministry. She went on to say, I believe in you and I celebrate with you now. I thought to myself wow! With her last breathe she was still ministering to me and still making an impression even with her last words
