Vix called Zoey first thing the next morning to catch her before she left for work.

"Are you okay?" Zoey asked "You sound funny."

"I'm fine. I was just wondering if you had some time for breakfast this morning before work."

"Oh...I'm not going to work today. I promised Lucy I'd help her finish unpacking the new house."

"They aren't done with that yet?" Vix asked.

"Not yet...I think they were putting it off till after the holidays," Zoey replied. "I know they were trying to convince Charlie to stay with them but once they said she could stay with Kelsey and her family through the end of the semester that girl took advantage of it."

Vix didn't blame the young girl. It was her Senior year and she didn't want to move schools mid year. It sucked to have to make new friends. "We'll just catch me when you get back."

"Why don't you come to Lucy's? I know she'd love the help and then we could chat then. And get some planning on Lacey's baby shower."

Great, Vix thought as a wave of nausea passed. Just what she needed...Baby talk. "Well if you think she won't mind."

"Okay Vix...What's wrong with you? You're being totally weird."

"I am not," Vix protested weakly.

"You are so full of shit," Zoey accused "you forget I'm married to Brian and I can spot bullshit a mile away."

"Really Zoey?" Brian's voice cried in mock irritation.

"Shush Brian...I'm trying to have productive female friendships," the sound of his chuckling along with Elises 's small voice asking for a cookie made Vix smile "Okay Victoria...What gives?"

"I think I might be pregnant."

===============================

Matt and Lucy had just moved into a new house near the edge of Huntington, a gorgeous two story home after selling the individual homes they'd been sharing the first year of their marriage. Lucy refused to move in the same house he shared with Val but she didn't seem like she was in any hurry to leave her Anaheim home. Which was why she still hadn't properly unpacked their home.

Vix saw Zoey's car parked in the large driveway as she walked up to the door. She knocked on the door and Matt answered holding River's small hand. He gave her a dimpled grin.

"Hey..come on in..." he said in his deep baritone. "Luce and Zoey are in the kitchen."

Vix nodded but she kneeled down to see River's troubled face. "Hey Riv, how are you little guy?"

"Hi Victowia," he said miserably as his sniffled. "I have a cold." He pointed to his runny nose before wiping his small hand across it, showing her the mucous afterwards. "See?"

Her expression softened as she admired his hand. "Do you feel very bad?"

"Yes," he nodded seriously. "But I'm a big boy." Without warning he walked back to the living room where he was watching cartoons.

Matt shook his head and he motioned for Vix to follow. "He's just being overly dramatic."

"Like father like son," Vix cracked.

"We're in here," Zoey's bossy voice cried "Coffee is ready."

Vix walked into the kitchen but settled for a glass of water. She didn't need coffee, but that was mostly because her stomach wasn't ready for the Chocolaty blend that Lucy was partial too.

She found Lucy on the floor pulling bubble wrapped glasses from a large cardboard box while Zoey sipped from her mug.

Zoey didn't waste anytime. "I already caught Lucy up to speed. Tell us everything."
