The next morning I was up bright and early. Today was nothing like it was yesterday. In fact, it was the complete opposite. The sun was hidden behind dark clouds and I could hear the pitter patter of raindrops hitting the roof. These were my favorite types of days.

I got up and did my usual routine of getting ready but threw on running shorts and a sports bra. These were also my most favorite days to jog on. I slipped on my sneakers and stepped outside, breathing in the scent of fresh rain. I then put my iPhone on shuffle and started jogging. The rain splattered against me, causing my curls to stick to my back. It didn't bother me as much. As long as it wasn't hot and sunny and my curls weren't plastered to my back because of my sweat. About halfway through my job, I noticed it was getting darker.

"That's odd.." I muttered. It was only noon. I screamed when I felt a cold hand grab my arm. "Alec! You scared the crap out of me!" I shouted, ripping out my ear buds.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said, trying to hold back a laugh. I rolled my eyes. "Anyways...My mom wanted to know if you could help me babysit all of the kids tonight? She apologizes because we've only known you a day and all..But my parents have a meeting tonight at midnight and she doesn't like leaving me alone with all three of them."

"I guess so. But why a midnight meeting? That's quite late."

"Yeah. I don't know. Their company operates on weird hours." Alec said, shurgging it off.

"Yeah..Sure. I'll help."

Three hours later and I was underneath three small children. "Don't just sit there Alec! Help!" Alec laughed.

"You should have ran when they said dog pile!"

"I did! They're incredibly fast little stinkers!" I laughed. Being in this house..I don't know. It was like having a family again.

"Alright guys. Get off Elizabeth." Alec laughed. When I showed up three hours ago, we had been jumped on by three kids whom I'd learn was little Allie and then the two twins, Jake and Eric.

There was a sudden knock on the door that made everyone freeze besides me. "Okay guys...I'll get it." I said, heading towards the door.

"Elizabeth no..Please take Allie, Jake, and Eric upstairs." Alec said, his voice cold. I looked at him weirdly.

"Okay." I quickly gathered the children and gathered them in Alec's room. We all heard a crash from downstairs causing everyone to jump.

"What's happening, Lizzy?" I raised my eyebrows at the nickname.

"I'm not sure Allie. I'm sure everything is okay. Let's just wait for your brother to get up here." I responded. Moments later Alec burst in the door, blood on his lips. "Are you okay!?" I asked.

"Uh..Yes, sorry. Bit my lip too hard." He licked the blood of his lips. "Okay kids, time for bed. Elizabeth and I will be downstairs if you need us." They all scurried to their rooms and lights went off. They were pretty obedient for little kids.
