Before this chapter starts I decided to give each chapter a title, cause it's more fun that way! Also, I went back to school so I won't be updating as regularly because of schoolwork, I'll still try my best, though. I'm sorry it's been a while since I've updated (like three months Daina), but I suck at writing children sO THOMAS YOU WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME!

Enjoy xx

They looked like a striking pair, Thomas and Adrien. From a simple glance, you would think they were father and son spending a day together. Partly true, of course. But it was- in fact- first-time father spending his first ever day with his son. The buildings were so tall they blocked out the sunlight raining down. The people, both men and women, were scurrying around like animals in a shelter. With all the hustle and bustle Adrien always enjoyed watching people frantically trying to call a taxi or carry multiple objects at once. Being an outsider looking in was a past-time he found oddly enjoyable; trying to guess their names, their occupation and whether or not they would make it without dropping at least something. But besides the hustle and bustle, and the ongoing smell of coffee, Adrien could only focus on the blue-eyed boy walking next to him.

"Favourite colour?"

"Uhh, probably green."

"Green's a cool colour. Favourite...food?"

"Chocolate!"

"Heh, you're just like your mother."

With all of Adrien's ongoing questions he has so far learned that Thomas's birthday is June 11th, his favourite colour is green, he likes cats, drawing (mainly himself as a superhero) and doesn't like it when he gets sick. Adrien found it so uncanny how much Thomas could look both him and Marinette. Now that the sun was shiny on his face Adrien could see some light freckles on his nose and cheeks. His mind did twirls when he thought of his situation five years ago - heartbroken and grieving - but now here he was, walking the busy streets whilst holding his son's tiny hand, and he never wanted to let go.

"Do you know what you would like to be when you're a grownup?"

"A vet! But I don't know how I can help the bigger animals like horses. They're really big."

Adrien bit his tongue to hold back a laugh. "Sounds awesome kiddo." He took in a moment to appreciate the word kiddo. He'll have to use it more often.

"You think? It's gonna be awesome!"

Adrien ruffled Thomas's hair. "You'll be the best vet ever."

The morning after Adrien met Thomas he had arrived at Marinette's apartment early. Maybe too early, when he arrived she was still half-asleep. After making herself and Adrien a cup of coffee Marinette laid down some ground rules.

"He's lactose sensitive, so don't give him a lot of dairy. He has the attention span of a dog so keep an eye on him so he won't run away. Don't take him near the pet store, otherwise he'll wanna go in and play with the cats. Are you getting this Adrien?"

No dairy...attention of a dog...no cats (that last rule is up for debate). "Sure..."

If Marinette had been told as a fifteen-year-old girl that her and her high school love would eventually have a child together she probably would have turned a bright shade of red and fainted. But the five years apart had made her stronger and more durable to tough situations. But her big heart still hoped that Adrien and Thomas would have a good time together.

"Okay, be careful." She kissed Thomas on the top of the head and sent them both out the door. With not much work to do she started on the washing...
