It had been a two days since Lucy had passed but I still couldn't believe it to be true. She had been everything to me and she didn't even know it. All of those opportunities to tell her how I felt, and still feel, lost. All thanks to this stupid Problem! If only I had more time with her or wasn't so nervous. If only I hadn't been so reckless to accept that case, she would still be alive. It was all my fault. I still remember her for what she was, an intelligent, beautiful young woman who had a bright future thanks to her extraordinary psychic Talents. The way her hair blew in the wind, the sparkle in her eye whenever she had a connection with a ghost. She was perfect in every way. Out of all the people I've ever known, I hoped she would never be one I would lose. I was willing to die for her, and I guess she was, too. I had decided to close Lockwood & Co. for a while until me and George had recovered a bit more, so most days I spent in my room looking at the only picture we had of Lucy. We had taken it only a few weeks after she had started here, right in front of 35 Portland Row, all three of us. The only memory we had of her...
