No kid ever expects their parents to kick them out at the age of 18. But me? Pff I saw it coming. After all, I was just their little punching bag.
All my life I've been nothing but a worthless rag doll to my parents. How do I know you ask? Well when I was 14 my dad held me down and my mom carved 'worthless' across my back. The day I turned 18 was the day they told me to get lost. Yep great birthday present huh?
It's been about a month since I packed up my things and left. Since then I have been sleeping on a park bench late at night, and working at a bar from noon to early hours of the morning. Sadly it doesn't pay much. Only enough to maybe get me a few meals during the week. The rest I hide in my duffel bag and save for a cheap apartment.
You see life ain't always easy. Sometimes no matter what side you're on the grass isn't green. Sometimes we're a little blind when it comes to finding the bright side. I don't know about you but even though I have no house, no family, and no money for nice things I'm still able to breathe and this heart of mine continues to beat and I'm okay with that even if it's All 'I' Have.
