I Did Not Plan For This

Chapter 2

Eliot's POV

  I really did not have time to go greet the Grey Ridge pack but my Beta kept mind linking me about how it would be good of me to spare a few minutes to just say welcome. I did not understand why I must take time out of running my pack to say welcome to a random pack that I already have a truce with. I have met the Alpha and Beta from that pack before and while they are respectful, I do not care about carrying on a conversation with them. I need to stay focused on my pack and it also helps me take my mind off the lack of a mate when I am busy.

  Putting down the papers I had been reading through, I make my way out of my office. I hope to make this quick. It's not that I don't care about keeping good relations with other packs, I just don't like talking period.

  On the way to the main pack house I could hear the thoughts of a few pack members. They all seemed normal except for Mason who was thinking about a girl. He seems to have taken a interest in the beta's daughter from the visiting pack. For some reason I felt myself get mad. I just passed it off as getting irritated. I blocked his thoughts as I reached the porch steps.

My beta is Joe and third in command is Ben. Joe found his mate last year. Joe use to be a player but when he met his mate he became whipped. I could never see myself acting the way he does but who knows.

As I come into the room I feel her. I feel my mate. I scan the room until my eyes lock unto her's. She looks happy but scared and as she stands there frozen I charge forward until I am standing in front of her. I grab her and pull her into an embrace. She is perfect.

In that moment I did not care about anyone else in the room. I have my mate and that is all that matters. Her father brings me out of my trance. I realize I have to talk to him about the arrangements of his daughter moving to my pack but that can wait until later. As they all start to flow out of the room to be showed to there guest rooms I notice my mate following them.

After we argue about her room arrangement I take her soft hand into mine and show her our room. I have never had a woman in my room before. Of course I am not innocent I have slept with different women but I never let them stay in my room.

My mate is quite which worries me. I hope she is happy that I am her mate. It would destroy me if she did not accept me.

As we enter my, now our, bedroom I turn to her. "Well this is our room-"

My mate cuts me off, "Your room." I feel my temper rising but I calm myself down and choose to ignore her comment.

"I hope you like it, if you want to change anything just let me know. I'll have you luggage brought up and you come down to get something to eat before bed. We already ate earlier but I'll have the cook fix you something." Troian looks around the room, taking it all in.

"Your room is nice." Was all she said as she gently sat on the bed. She looked so beautiful. I wanted to run my hands through her silky hair. Most of all I wanted to kiss her soft looking lips. I needed to get out of there before I make her not want to share a room with me.

"I am going to go check on a few things I'll be back soon." I gave her one more glance before I left the room shutting the door behind me. I did not want to leave her after just finding her but I know I have to give her some time to process everything.

As I head down the hall way and make my way toward my office, I see Troian's father waiting out side the door. Waiting for me I'm guessing.

"Beta Bronson." I nod my head in respect as I stand before him.

"Alpha Forest,I believe we have a lot to talk about regarding my daughter, my only daughter." I could tell the man really loves Troian but I hope we could make this transition peaceful and less stressful. I just want my mate to live with me.

"Yes we do. I want her to live with me. I hope this will not be a problem but you know how long I have been searching for my mate." The beta nodded his head but seemed to be in deep though.

"I understand but you will have your hands full with my daughter. She is the sweetest and has the kindest heart but she is very determined to plan out her whole life. She was set that she would not settle down until she was twenty and she just turned eighteen. Maybe you will change her mind about all that though."

My mate will hopefully realize that she has to settle down with me now. Otherwise my wolf might go crazy. I needed her to tame me and the beast inside.

After her father told me he was going to go to bed I went into my office to do some light work before I checked on my mate. It is hard to stay focused when I know my mate is in our room. I wonder if she has ate something I told her to get something to eat but I don't know if she listened to me. After a hour of trying to stay busy but failing I decided it was time to go up and see her.

As I climb the stairs I remember the first time I saw her just a couple hours ago. She was amazing. She had amazing curly hair, with big beautiful brown eyes. She was perfect. Every other girl could not come close to comparison. I need her so bad.

When I enter the room I notice it's dark. I look around to see my mate on the couch. I shake my head at her stubbornness not to sleep on our bed. I softly pick her up and love how she feels against me. I put her on the mattress before I go to the adjoined bathroom to take a shower. I mind-link my cook, Maria, to see if my mate was given food. Maria tells me that my mate ate a sandwich before falling asleep which made me feel better. At least she listened to me about eating.

After I take a shower I pull on some boxers and head back into where my mate is lying. It does not seem real that I found her and that she is really here. Hopefully I can get her to accept the mating bond and complete the process soon. The sooner the better.

As I scoot into the bed next to her I wrap and arm around her waist and draw her in closer. I smile as she snuggles closer to me. I can't wait to find more out about her tomorrow.
