Chapter 2:

The day seemed to drag on for ever it was amazing how long it seemed. The bell finally rang, schools out for the weekend! I ditched the bus and ran all the way home, I needed to start to plan tomorrow!

"Mom I'm home" I shouted as I ran up to my room. There was no reply, "Mom...mom...mom?" No reply.

I began to get worried I started frantically calling her cell phone... I press the buttons down as hard and fast as I could. I heard a ringing in the kitchen, I dashed down the stairs. My mom was no where to be found, but I heard the phone still ringing in the drawer.

I slid open the draw to find her cell phone with all the knives... With a note on top. The note read your next, what did this mean...who was this. Then my phone buzzed I reached in to my back pocket and found a text plastered on my screen " don't tell, or you'll be dead as well". My mom... It hit my like a ton of bricks she...she... was dead.

I sat there a wept. This went on for hours, I couldn't believe she was really gone. My dad was gone at a business trip wouldn't be back until May. I would be alone, that couldn't happen.

I texted Preston as soon as my eyes cleared up "Can you come over?". Ten minutes later he replied " Look out your window". He was down there a dozen roses, awh how sweet could he get.

But then I realized it I was in sweats and I had eye liner smeared down my face. I ran outside it was pouring rain I think, god was scared for me too. I ran up to him and he held my in his arms and I just cried, there was nothing better to do.
