It was around 10am where I was awoken by a lump of food that had been thrown at me maliciously. A McDonald's packet that oozed its greasy juices seeped through my only clothes, bastard. I looked up and squinted into the harsh sun that stood proudly and shone down into my eyes that were having trouble to adjust. Surrounding me were a group of teenage boys, they stared at me in a belittling way. Sniggers made their way through the group and back to the ring leader. The boy stood slightly hunched and dressed in a flannel shirt that had patches where it was sewn up. His trousers were by a common clothing brand that I came across every day. Adidas. A peculiar name. It must be nice going to a clothes shop and being able to afford something new. I sighed drearily and shivered in my battered coat that I found in the local park. The wind was picking up and my hair was going everywhere, it was a wild and tangled mane. A hairbrush would be nice. I snapped back to reality and realised the boys were still stood there. 'Eat' the flannel boy said in a matter of fact tone. I peered inside the grubby McDonald's bag which made my starving stomach feel queasy, nothing was inside it but the distinctive smell of cannabis. Drugs disgusted me, no matter how low I became I would never resort to any recreational thing. It would kill me. The boys began laughing 'You don't want food do ya girl. You want a joint of the plant I hust handed to ya. Trusstttt me ----- you'll feel cool in no time, I'm sure ya used to it' I shied away intimidated by the large group, scared that they would force me. I spluttered stupidly and sounded like an illiterate child -- 'Nnno ttthank yoou' I whispered. 'What was THAT? speak up! Yano guys she could be a little fit gal if she had some meat to her. Maybe we should of put a maccys in the bag. '
Boy number two chirped in. 'Ere, have my fries. You need em more than me' he almost looked sympathetic until the others glared at him for giving in and being nice. I took the chips from him and began by eating them slowly. One by one. I melted into a pool of happiness. The salty potato inside of my mouth caused me to drool slightly. Nothing tasted so good. 'Thank you' I muttered. Thankfully, they got bored and wandered off. Boy number two slumped behind them and looked back towards me, I smiled, so did he.
From a distant I could vaguely hear the cheering of a large crowd. It got louder as it approached the road. There was a limousine. I'd never seen one before. They were so long and pompous. Why would you need to have one? I collected the only belongings I owned and begun walking down the street. I need to find a job. The long streets were full of shops and boutiques that I longed to look at. I once tried to have a look but was refused entry into the shop because of my appearance.
My usual route felt like forever. There's a tiny alleyway between the shop walls that made my life easier. It allowed me to get to and from places. I turned towards the alley and begun walking through it.
I screamed. A tall man with a black hoody approached me. I couldn't speak and suddenly I could no longer see.
